Day 304: Our Halloween

Alright.....I am getting there slowly but surely. I don't have the patience to put up all my other pictures, but I though since today is Halloween I would put up all our Halloween pictures. These pics are even of half of the people up here that I have met and that I room with, but again it is a start. I will soon put up my other pics. It may be slowly, but it will be surely....hope you enjoy our Halloween fun of 2010!!!!

I forget how much I love Halloween, but then it comes around every year and it is just fabulous! We had such a good time. We made homemade pizza and homemade rootbeer for dinner and played games for a little while before we went to the HOWL! The HOWL was truly my first college party experience. It housed the entire TSC building and also the field house....it was huge, but it was truly a college boo-ya! We had fun though!

Day 303: Halloween

Happy almost Halloween!!!! I always forget how much I love Halloween until it is actually here! Today Saundra, Maren and I went and cheered on Cherice and Caitlin who were running a 10k this morning. It was Caitlin's first 10k and she did awesome! I believe her time was 47 minutes and Cherice's was 37 minutes! They are crazy and it was cool to watch them run!

Other than that I have had lunch and I need to go to Wal-mart for the rest of my costume and groceries! Then later tonight we are getting ready for the HOWL and making homemade pizza and rootbeer and then we are going to boogie!!!!!!! Super excited! I will try and post pictures tomorrow.......TOOTLES!!!!

Day 302: Costumes

Today has been quite a wonderful day. Nothing has gone on but it still has been a good day! Cherice and I have finally figured out our Halloween costumes for the HOWL! The HOWL is the biggest Halloween dance that USU has every year and people come from all over to come and party! I am sooooo excited! We have been figuring out Cherice's all day and now I have to make a quick run to Joann's for mine! She is going to be a biker chick, Caitlin is going to be the little mermaid and I am going to be a ballerina! I am soooo excited!!!! I will post pictures later, but as for now I am going to go motor.......TOOTLES!!!!

Day 301: Done

Today I had my archaeology and astronomy and test and can I just say I am super glad those are done! Even though I have class tomorrow, I can now kick back and relax and enjoy my Halloween weekend! I hate taking test but I LOVE when I am done with them!

Not much else to report on. Today we had our first enrichment activity for relief society where we wore our pj's, ate pancakes and decorated pumpkins. It was loads of fun! Well I think I am going to head........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 300: WOW

WOW.......I have been blogging for 300 days straight......I am slightly flabbergasted! Sadly nothing special went on today to celebrate my 300th day. I went to school, did homework, studied, had a Visiting Teaching meeting, went to an SI, talked with a few people for a little while, ate dinner and here I am.....blogging and soon back to studying. I truly know how to live it up hahaha.

Although, on the plus side of today, our living room looks even better! Last night Caitlin, Cherice and I went to DI and bought a few more things to spice up our living room and so we decorated last night and might I just say.........IT LOOKS FABULOUS! I love it! I am hoping to have pics up soon. I finally got a memory card reader, I just haven't had time to load them up on here.

Well I am going to go cram a little more for my two tests tomorrow..........TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 299: Serious Studying

Ok I've got to be fast today because I have serious studying to do and I am finally kicking my butt in gear to do all the studying I have. I have made my legs walk me to the library, up to the third floor to my favorite spot so that I can get everything done that I need too. I've got my books, laptop and a snack.....I am SO set!!! Can I just say really quick how putting two tests on the same day should be considered cruel and unusual punishment.....just saying!

Not else to report on today. When everyone gets home tonight we are making a trip to Gossner's and to the DI....I am rather excited. Then I have institute choir and partying with my roomies as usual.....Man I love college life! K well I better go........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 297: Good Day

The past day has been awesome! Jeff came up yesterday for the game and we had a blast! We played Haawai'i yesterday and once the 2nd quarter hit, it started to pour rain and it was rather cold too. Me, Jeff, Saundra, Austin, Tarrin, Landon and Kyle were soaked to the bone, however it was a lot of fun!

After the game we came back and dried off and had dinner and watched How to Train Your Dragon, which I thought was way way way cute!!!! Then later everyone just kind of talked and later we watched the Bourne Identity! Yesterday was just an excellent day! It was a lot of fun to hang out with Jeff for a little while and have him meet my roommates and neighbors. We had a good time!

Well not much else to talk about today. It is super dark and rainy up here in Logan today and I find it quite wonderful! Well I am going to go watch Moulin Rouge with Cherice cuz we have nothing to do.........TOOTLES!!!

Day 296: Parade

So every year, just like in high school, USU has homecoming, however homecoming is a week long event with stuff to do all week long. This morning was the homecoming parade and it was a blast! Because I am on the Student Alumni Association, I needed to sign up for a committee and I signed up for the Aggie traditions committee which is in charge of certain homecoming activities and the parade was one of them!

In all honesty I didn't know what to think about doing the parade this morning when I showed up, but once we got started it turned out to be really fun. I helped with registration and putting a few other things together and then we didn't have anythings else to do, so a few of us just sat and watched the parade. Although at the end of the parade there was the SAA float and so we all hopped into the street and walked in the parade and threw candy. Surprisingly it was loads of fun!

As for the rest of the day....Jeff is coming up and spending the night and then we are all going to the football game today! Even though I am extremely tired, because we stayed up celebrating Chelsea's birthday until like 2am, I am excited for the rest of the day!

Day 295: Major

Today I feel some what accomplished today! I met with my academic advisor and kind of figured out maybe what I want to do with the rest of my life. At this moment I am thinking of doing a business major, so I looked up and found some classes that can go towards that major! I think it might go pretty well. Well I have nothing else to really blog about today so I am going to map my moon for my astronomy class........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 293: "Holy Calling"

So a few weeks ago I received a calling in my YSA ward and I was thinking ok, this sounds like a pretty easy calling...........boy was I wrong. I was "trained" in my calling last night and can I just say being Relief Society Visiting Teaching District Leader (yeah try saying that ten times fast) is a lot more intense then I thought it was going to be, but I am up for the challenge!

I am the only one with my calling, which I quite prefer because I like working by myself, but I work with the relief society president and I also have 4 supervisors that work under me, which is also good because I could not do it all by myself. I would just like to say though, that the church is so smart, or I should say the Lord is incredibly smart. The more I do things in the church, the more I find out how organized it all is, which, for me, is beyond wonderful!!!!!

I am a little overwhelmed, but also excited to do this calling. My supervisors' jobs are to call all the visiting teachers and see if they have done their visiting teaching for the month. Then the supervisors report to me and then I work with the president to get everything into the computer and all that good stuff. I am also in charge of training my supervisors and making sure they are doing their jobs as well as reminders in relief society, making sure everyone is aware of the message for the month, making sure that people are including roommates that are possibly inactive or non members and just making sure everything runs smoothly. There are also little things all put into there too.......all I can say is "Holy calling!"

I really didn't know what to expect, but I was not expecting what I got, however I am rather excited and ready to start this thing. My job is working with a few close people and keeping everything organized......WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THAT?!?!?! This means I get to make charts and be all organized and stuff....SUPER EXCITED!!!!

Well I am going to start organizing this stuff and figuring everything out......TOOTLES!!!

Day 292: One Exciting Day

Today has been long......never again will I put such a crappy schedule together on a tuesday/thursday. I don't have much to say today, but I just thought I'd just blog really quick. I have gone to school, now I am sitting in the library and later I have a relief society meeting as well as institute choir....yup that is one exciting day. Well I am going to go study for my science test.......TOOTLES!!!!

Day 290: Weird

I have had a wonderful day today! Since I am home, I went to my home ward today and saw everyone which was fabulous! On top of that, today, Cameron gave his mission farewell talk and can I just say how strange that was. I can't believe he leaves for his mission in just a few days. As I was sitting there talking to him and Chelsea and Shandy and a couple other people, I could not believe how fast time flies. I remember when we were all in primary together, when we use to play night games and when the biggest problem in our lives was who liked who. Now Cameron and Taylor are both leaving on missions, I am in college and Chelsea and Shandy are seniors and will soon be in college too. It is so crazy. We are all growned up and I don't know how I feel about that.

I remember when I first started young womens and saw all the older girls and guys going off to college and going on missions and thinking that I would never be in that spot, but yet....here I am. It is still weird to me to have my friends leave on missions because that is what the big kids do.....not us. It is just all so surreal. I really cant even explain it.

On one hand, all of us growing up breaks my heart because it means we wont see each other that much and we will all go our different ways, but on the other hand it is also really cool cuz that means we are all growing up and doing the things we have talked about doing since we were little. It is a little scary, but still exciting. It makes me excited to see what else life has to bring because so far, it has brought me so much and it has yet to disappoint, so it can only get better from here!

It was good to see and talk to everyone in my ward though. I got to see my young women leaders and a few of my girls! It was just great to see everyone! Again, it was weird, but awesome! Well I better go. I need to do some things before I head out to my dad's for dinner........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 289: Red

Tonight Jeff, Alex, Kathryn, Sydnee and I all went and saw the new movie Red! It was a cute movie and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good blowing up movie or a comedy! Well I am off to bed........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 288: Home!

I have had a fabulous last day and a half! Last night Alex and Kathryn came up and we just caught up and had a good time together! Then this morning I hung out with them again and then they headed home and then I headed HOME! So right now I am back in the Dub-J!!!!! I had to help on great grandma's today and so I surprised my grandparents and came down today! Then for the rest of the day we have just kind of chilled. I love being home, but I also miss Logan too......it is really weird. I'm home with my family, but I am also away from home and my family.....its kind of funny! Well I am going to go chill and watch some Say Yes to the Dress..........TOOTLES!!!!

DAy 287: FALL BREAK!!!!

FALL BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is finally here!!!!!! I am so glad I have a day off school....it is going to be wonderful! On top of that, Alex and Kathryn are coming up to visit me and Kat is staying the night! I can feel a party comin' on! Then I am going to head home for the weekend tomorrow, probably! I am so excited for this weekend.........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 286: Come Faster

Fall Break is so close that it is killing me!!!!! I get done with class tomorrow at 11:20 am.....and then my sweet weekend is here.....COME FASTER 11:20am........COME FASTER!!!!!!!!

Day 285: Hallelujah!

So last night we had a YSA stake dance and I'll be honest.....I wasnt expecting much, but it was loads of fun! Me and my roommates and a couple of the guys from next door went and we just went and danced our hearts out. In all honesty it was like being back in the 8th grade again and going to a region dance, but since everyone was the same age and in college.....for some random reason it seemed cooler haha!

As for today......I would just like to say Hallelujah! Since we have spring break on friday, they are putting our friday classes on thursday, so my tuesday/thursday classes only occur on tuesday this week!!!!!!!!!! I hate my T/R classes........not so fun, so I am so glad I am done for the week! I also took care of stuff for my moon project for astronomy and then I have choir tonight and it is just fabulous! Well I better go, I need to figure out something for dinner.........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 284: Stake Dance

We have a stake dance for our Family Home Evening so me and my roommies are heading over and dragging the boys with us.......TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 283: My Logan Family

I love Sundays! They are just so relaxing! It is so nice to have a day where you don't have to worry about school and you can just focus on church stuff and hang with the family that we are all becoming up here! It is so awesome! I never thought I would grow so close to so many people so fast, but when you really don't have mom in the next room, you really do learn to rely on, trust in and love those around you! School has only been going for 6-7 weeks and the people that I have just met make me feel right at home. I can honestly say it feels like I have known some of these people for a lot longer than a few weeks, just because we have grown together so fast. I can be myself around them, tell them anything and know that no one is judging!

I truly have the coolest floor of people ever! We always joke about being the party floor because all 4 of our doors are always open and we just wander in and out talking and hanging out with each other. We are always out in the hall doing homework or chilling and it is just so fun! I was worried about getting to know people up here and making friends, but I can honestly say that that was a worry that never came to pass! Once I get a memory card reader I will stick up pictures of everyone, but as for now I need to hit the hay........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 282: Great Day

Today has been pretty productive!

I have:
-Cleaned the church
-Gone grocery shopping
-Made oreo truffles for linger longer (thanks mel for that recipe....its a life saver!)
-Played soccer with Saundra, Tarrin and Austin
-Gone back to the grocery store

Now we are sitting and chilling, while Saundra makes cake and then her, I, Maren, Austin, Tarrin and Skyler are all probably going to watch a movie! Over all......a great day.......TOOTLES!!!

Day 281: Chill Day

Today has been quite wonderful! I went to school and came home and watched a few clips from The Court Jester....I havent seen that movie forever!!!!!! Then Austin and I went downstairs and played some cello and piano stuff and then a few more people came down and we have just chilled all day today. Over all it has been a pretty chill day, which is rather great. Now we are going to go watch a movie.........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 280: The Sides of Today

The downside of my day:
-It is a Thursday which means I have a crappy class schedule

The upsides to my day:
-I now know how to work my schedule for next semester so I don't have crappy class days
-I have accomplished homework
-I have listened to the Michael Buble station on Pandora and it makes me super happy
-I get time to do me stuff, not school stuff
-The weather has been all dark and cool and rainy
-Because it is Thursday, that means that tomorrow is Friday!!!!!

Day 279: 5 Love Languages

So last night I discovered something new about myself. I discovered my 5 love languages hahaha. When I came home, a couple of my roommates were taking the quiz so I took it to and was a little surprised by my results....here they are:

I dont know what I was expecting, but it wasnt that. We then decided to test it and see how different guys were from girls, so we got the boys next door to take it too and surprisingly enough....most of their number 1's were either quality time or acts of service. It was just kind of funny to see.

As for today I have gone to school and institute, walked home and talked with Austin for a little while, at lunch, practiced and done homework. Now I am going to go do more homework then head to me SAA meeting later tonight to start planning homecoming! I am rather excited! Well I am going to go stick my nose in more textbooks for a while........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 278: Little Boost

Today has been an incredibly long day. Astronomy is a 75 minute class and we got out 5 minutes early and it has honestly been the longest class I have ever sat through! Although on the plus side, when I came home Austin was downstairs playing the piano and I went to go talk to him and we sang and played for a few minutes. It was really fun and it give me just that little boost I needed for the rest of the day! Well I am off to do homework and then I am going to write a missionary, because I have said for the past 3 days that I would do it, but I haven't had time. Well guess what......I am going to make time.........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 277: Rain

Can I just say I love rain! It really is the most fabulous thing ever and luckily enough it has been raining all day today!!!!


It hasnt been pouring, but it hasnt been some pansy sprinkle either.....It is WONDERFUL!!!! Well it does kind of stink walking from class to class in rain, but it still could be a lot worse. I walked home in the rain from lessons and all I wanted to do was just have a total Gene Kelly moment and bust out some Singin' in the Rain! I LOVE IT........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 276: Fabulous Sunday

Today has been a fabulous Sunday day!!!!!!

Today we have:
-Made german pancakes and peach juice
-watched an awesome session of conference
-went down stairs and had more breakfast in Steve's apartment
-chilled with my awesome roomies

Now I am watching conference again and I cant wait to hear what is going to be said this session. Conference has not disappointed at all this october.........I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Day 275: Victory and Conference

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?! USU killed BYU last night!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the greatest game ever! We had a ton of fun! Me, Saundra, Maren, Caitlin, Nathan and Austin all partied hard! It was so much fun! We won 31 to 16.....we killed them and it was about time! The last time we won BYU was in 1993 so I say a swift killing was very over due!


We had loads of fun and my dad was up at the game too so I got to see him for a little while!!!! Later we ended up over at the guys apartment and just chilled over there for a few hours! Last night was loads of fun!

Now as for today.....CONFERENCE WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!! I learn to love conference more and more and today was great. I loved all the talks but President Uchtdorf's and Elder Scott's talks were by far my favorite! I cant wait to see what talks there are going to be tomorrow!

Day 274: Football

So last night I drove down with mom's friend Mike to surprise Jeff for his homecoming game!!!! It was sooooo much fun! I got to see a few friends that I havent seen in FOREVER!!!!!!! I also got to hang out with mom and Mike, plus one of my best friends! We totally won too and so it made it even better! It was such a great night!!!

As for today, I went to class and chilled with my roommates and just had a good time! We are getting ready for the most epic football game of the season......USU vs. BYU!!!!!!!!! It is going to be so fantastic!!! I hope, and I think that we can win tonight too! I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!! Well I better go....I will report on it tomorrow...........TOOTLES!!!!!!
