Day 181: Saturday's Camp Adventures

Alright so here is the post for the last day of girls camp!!!!!

Saturday morning was HIGHLY entertaining!!! Chelsea, April, Lisa, and I all woke up at 4:15am and went outside and set up our 2010 Girls Camp Initiation! We thought it would be fun to "officially" initiate our girls into camp this year! So what we did was set up this line of glow sticks and at the end we had Lisa waiting with a tub of lipstick so that she could "paint" their faces! We also had April at the end waiting with little army men so that the girls could receive their "little army." It was awesome! Chelsea went and woke up the girls playing Christmas music and by three at a time she walked them over to me so that I could put them onto the "deathly path of glow sticks!" I would then send the girls down the line where they received their war paint and army men. They were then sent to Chelsea where we made them kneel, we dubbed them and they received their "official" girls camp name! It was awesome!!!! My name was Purple Thread! Oh man I love girls camp!

After that we headed down to the stake so that we could go see the lunar eclipse! Sadly, due to the weather, we were not able to see it, although Bishop Urrey did have his telescope set up so instead we got to see Jupiter and its 4 moons!!!! It was sooooo cool!!!!!

After that we went back to camp and started packing up and took a power nap before we had to actually be up. We then got up and cleaned up camp! We then had breakfast and packed up camp and called it good! After that we went to our last flag ceremony and sang some songs and said goodbye and headed home!!!!!!!!

Camp was SOOOOOOOOO awesome this year and I am so thankful I got to go! I am super bummed that it was my last year cuz I love my girls sooooo much! I don't know what I am going to do without them! Thank you girls and leaders for making my last year such a fantastic year!!!! Love you guys! I will try and put pictures up tomorrow. I would have put them on today, but I am on the wrong computer, but I will try my hardest to put them up tomorrow......TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 180: Friday's Camp Adventures

Alrighty....here went on at camp on Friday!

We woke up....luckily at a reasonable time that morning and headed down to flag! After flag me, Chelsea, April and Lisa got ready in our AWESOME outfits. You have to understand that we have started a tradition that every year before camp we go to the D.I and find ridiculous outfits. Well this year's outfits were the best! Lisa had these awesome red pants with zebra stripped shorts. April had these amazing high wasted, pink and white stripped pants....with suspenders. Chelsea had her amazing green spandex with these awesome red, short overalls and I had the most ridiculous outfit ever! I must thank Chelsea for my awesome outfit since she was the one who found it. But my out fit was the bright blue and hot pink, 100% polyester full body, 80's jumpsuit! And yes......it had hot pink shoulder pads!!! It was awesome!!! My computer is not letting me post pictures at the moment, but I will try again tomorrow so you can see how awesome these outfits are!

Well after we got ready and put on our awesome outfits, we headed up to the zip line! The zip line was super fun and we had quite a lot of girls and leaders that had never gone on it before, but the zip line is always fun! After that we headed to the other part of the rotation that was with the zip line and that was a great little devotional given by our camp stake directors! They gave us a little devo on some building blocks in the church. It was a really good devo!

After that we headed back to camp and low and behold when we got there Heather, shandy and Jamie were all there!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was soooooo exciting!!!! Heather couldn't come up to camp cuz she had a baby to take care of, Shandy couldn't come up for the whole time because she was just getting back from Europe and Jamie moved out of our ward a little while ago so we havent seen her for a while, but they were all there!!!!!!!!!! I was so GLAD to see them all....I LOVE their stinkin' guts!!!!!

After that we had lunch and reviewed our skit for a little while and just did a few things. Then around 3:30 our Bishopric came up to watch our skit! After they came up, we all headed down as a stake, performed all our skits! Each ward did a great job on their skits, and as usual they were all hysterical. This year, our skit was to the song the purple people eaters and we all had our hair done up crazy and we all dressed up like geeks!!!!! It was awesome and then after that we got a chance to hear from Pres. Smith and Pres. Worthington!

After that we went back up to camp and had dinner and then had an AMAZING testimony meeting!!!!!! The spirit was sooooo strong and I loved getting to hear from all my girls and leaders! hahaha we all cried like babies, but it was totally worth it!!!!!!

After that we went and got ready for bed and then I went and read my bed time story, The Sneetches, to the beehives! After that Chelsea and I decided to stay in the beehives tent for a little while and we ended up playing Truth or Truth.....we were all to comfortable and cold to play truth or dare! It was soooo much fun! I felt like a little kid again and I got sooooo much closer to the girls and learned to much about them! Then before we went to bed we went and sang Happy Birthday to Aubrey at like 1am in the morning!!!!!

Friday was a great day and I hope you stay tuned to hear about Saturday's adventures!!!! Saturday morning was a blast, but as for now I am going to go take a quick power nap before i go see Eclipse and go to rehearsal tonight.......TOOTLES!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 179: Thursday's Camp Adventures

Alright here is the low down on day two of this years girls camp!

Even though it was super super early, we were fortunate enough to do a sunrise hike Thursday morning. Luckily, as Chelsea put it, it was more of a stroll than a hike, but it was still really cool. We woke up around 5am and strolled up to, what we call, cell phone hill. It was really cool because we had the chance to just sit for a half hour and watch the sun come up and write in our journals. It was really cool!!! I loved just having that time to sit down by myself, with no worldly distractions, and just sit and think about what has been going on in my life and just write some thoughts down. The spirit was soooo strong and it was awesome!!!!!

After our sunrise hike, we went back to camp where some of us decided to go back to bed for a couple hours until we had to be up for breakfast and flag. When it was time to wake up we went to flag and then came back to camp and just kinda chilled. We had a lot of chill time on Thursday, so after we got back from flag, we used the couple hours we had to work on certification. Since I was a 7th year, I didn't have any certification I had to do, so I helped out some of the other girls and just kinda chilled and talked with the girls! That was kinda fun because I got to get to know some of the younger girls better and just have fun!

After that, we had lunch and did a cute craft. For our craft we made a little lantern and then after that we decided to work on our skit that we would be performing on Friday. I was a little worried about figuring out our skit because we had so many girls with a lot of good input on what we should do, however, we finished our skit in no time and it turned out really really well! It was the fastest we have ever worked out a skit, which was AWESOME!!!!!

After that we had some dinner and then went to our nightly flag ceremony and then came back to roast some smores, have a mountain moment and sit around the fire! We had a really nice mountain moment and then Billie told us that we needed to grab out lanterns and go stand in a circle with Chassidy and me standing together. Well it turned out that the leaders had planned a little thing for the leaving seniors and what we did was stand in a circle with all our lanterns lit and then Billie said a few things and gave each me and Chassidy a journal with all the leaders testimonies in them! It was sooooo cool! Chass and I were crying like babies and it was just a really cool experience! Lisa also read this really amazing thing that she wrote up on our hike that was just awesome!

After that we just continued to talk and get ready for bed!!! Thursday was a great day!!!!! I am sorry these posts are long, but I got to get all those juicy details in!!!!! I hope you stay tuned for tomorrow's post all about Friday's great adventures.........TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 178: Wednesday's Camp Adventures

So I have tons to tell about camp, so bare with me. Camp was so much fun this year!!! We all had a blast. I had a great time getting to know all the girls and leaders better. This years theme was S.I.M.P.L.E and that stands for Study the scriptures, Involve yourself in good works, Make and keep covenants, Pray always, Love one another and Endure to the end. On top of that we were also given a scripture that we had to memorize. This year our scripture was Alma 37:6 and it states "...but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass." It was a great theme for my last year at camp and it was totally what I needed to hear!!!

Wednesday was awesome! We set up camp, in the best camp spot ever, then ate lunch and headed to flag where we sang songs and were welcomed to another great year of camp by our amazing stake leaders. Not much happened that day because it was our first day, but it was still awesome! Later that night we ate a spaghetti dinner and then headed down to flag where we sang some songs and took care of the flag ceremony.

After that we went to our opening fireside. We got to watch a slide show about simplicity and serving and then Pres. Jones gave a talk about choosing values and living by them. He talked about three women in the scriptures and how they stuck to following their values. As he talked about each one of them, he lit a candle to show that their light was shining. He then later pulled out three large lanterns to show that because of their willingness to do what was right, their lights never burned out. We were then given glow sticks and asked to raise them in our right hands and decide on a value that we would like to keep, and work on, for the rest of the year! It was an excellent fireside!

Besides that we just went back and roasted marshmallows and talked and had a good time. When it was time to go to bed we were, of course, all too wired to go to bed and we were up until about 12:30-1am. It was so much fun. April, Lisa, Chelsea and I all shared a tent and had a great time doing such! We sang this Mash Potato song and we just partied hard!

So I am realizing that telling you all about camp in one post would make for an INCREDIBLY long post, so I think I will tell you about it a day at a time, so stay tuned in tomorrow for all about Thursdays camp adventures.........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 177: I'm Home

YAY!!!!!!!!! I am home from camp.....Thanks mom for blogging for me!!!! I had such an AMAZING time at camp this year!!!!!!! I made and strengthened many friendships and on top of that we just had a a great time!!!! I will blog more about it tomorrow, but as for now I am tired and I am thinking I am going to go take a nap.........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 176: She'll be home tomorrow

Day 175: Pseudo Kristen

So, Kristen is at camp and I've been instructed to blog for her. I've been thinking about what to write today because I know she can delete it - however, its also two days before she would be able to do that..hee hee heee.....

I could torment her by putting some horrible picture on here, or by telling you about her landing on her backside in the middle of Lowe's (which was dang funny - and I DID win that contest). But, I think I'll just mention what a good little bug she is.

I thought after I dropped her off yesterday about how different this was than 6 years ago when I left her for her first girls camp. Yesterday it was hop out of the car and "Bye, Mom!" Six years ago it was slobber, snot, tears and holding on to Mama for dear life, hoping that I wouldn't actually make her get on the bus. I think about how different it would have been if I had given in to her pleading about not making her go and how she had to overcome that fear and depend on herself and learn to trust in the new people she was being handed over to for a week.

I have a little girl who is able to trust and look for the goodness in people first, instead of being suspicious and frightened. I have a young woman who can appear confident (even when she's not) and is not afraid to take charge, make a decision and move forward.

In retrospect, difficult as it was (and yes Buggy, it was difficult for Mom too), I'm glad I made her get on that bus six years ago.

Day 174: Here I Come!!!!

I am leaving for camp in a few so I thought I should blog really quick to get today in so mom only has to worry about blogging two days for me!!! I am soooooooooo excited for camp this year. I refuse to dwell on the fact that it is my last year. We will deal with that realization on Saturday! Oh man this year is going to rock. We have soooooo many girls and as a presidency, we have fun stuff planned for our girls! SUPER EXCITED!!!!! Well I better go! Girls Camp 2010......HERE I COME!!!!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Day 173: Rehearsal!!!

Today I feel accomplished. I was able to get all my camp stuff ready and good to go and to Billie's house on time!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! I also was able to go lunch with my dad and my brother at this really good Mexican place down by my dad's work it was really good!

Now the best part of the day was that I was able to go to rehearsal. Every year Salt Lake Symphony plays a show for the big 4th of July celebration at Granite High School. Well they needed another cellist for this concert and since I had nothing to do so I said what the hay!!!!! Well tonight was rehearsal one of two and it was great!!!! WE are playing so much awesome some....my two favorites are the Hoe Down from Rodeo and The 1812 Overture. They are awesome. Fast and hard.....but AWESOME!!!! We are playing a lot of other things thing are pretty hard too but they are still really fun. The only bad part is that since I am heading to camp this week, I'll only have a week to practice everything......freaky!!!!!

Well I am exhausted and I have to get up early to head to camp in the morning. Luckily my mom said she will blog for me so yay.....I have the best mom ever. Well I am off to bed.......TOOTLES!!!!!

Monday, June 21, 2010

Day 172: Camp Prep....Kinda

Today has been a good one. I was able to get together with Chelsea, Lisa, and April today to get some stuff for camp and get a few things ready to make this year even that much better! I am sooooo excited for girls camp. It is my last year, which totally bums me out, but I am going out with a bang......this year's girls camp is going to ROCK!!!!!! I cant wait for Wednesday!!!!!!!! Besides that I got my secret sister stuff and just kinda chilled. Yeah I haven't started packing yet, but I have nothing planned for tomorrow, so tomorrow will be my great camp packing day! Luckily I really dont mind packing, it is the packing everything up to come home and the un-packing that I dislike!!!!! Well I am off......TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 171: My Papa

Today is Father's day and I would just like to say that I have an awesome dad!!! I have not always had an easy time getting along with my dad. We are too much a like so we but heads quite often. He is stubborn and wont listen.....I am stubborn and wont listen and so many other things, but I do love him!!!!! My Pops had taught me a lot over the years and I would not be the person I am today without my pops. I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with my dad since my parents are divorced and he is out of town a lot, but because of that I have gotten closer to him! Because I don't see him a lot, I like getting to go out to dinner with him on occasion or even just running to the store with him and talking!!!! Here are just a few things I love about my dad!

1. I love how much he loves and takes care of his family
2. I love how determined and hardworking he is
3. I love listening to my dad's "lovely" singing voice ;D
4. I love how my dad makes up stuff, like songs, out of nowhere
5. I love how he is always concerned with what we are doing and how he always wants to make sure we do our best at everything we do

Those are just a few things about my dad that are great!!!! I could go on forever!!!! Dad I just want to say I think you are amazing and that I love you sooooo much!!!!!! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY PAPA!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Saturday, June 19, 2010

Day 170: B.S.

So nothing went on today. I came out to my dad's for Father's Day weekend and just chilled really. I am not feeling very good today though. My throat is sore, my body aches and my head is about ready to explode, but Iwill go take some medicine and hopefully feel all better.

So what did go on today was that we had my grandparents come over for dinner and then after they left, I taught my family the lovely, fun, exciting game of B.S. It was fantatsic!!!! For those of you who dont know what the game of B.S. let me give you a run down. The goal is to get rid of all the cards in your hand. You go around the table, starting at aces and working up. You have to lay down cards when it gets to you whether you have the right cards or not. If you have to lay down sevens and you dont have them, you have to lay down something and someone can call your bluff by yelling B.S. and then you get all the cards on the table.........and yes, B.S. does stand for what you are all thinking, but you dont actually say it hahahaha! It is a highly entertaining game and we had a good time playing. All six of us were laughing pretty darn hard and it was just a good time! Well I am going to go take some meds cuz I feel like crap.........TOOTLES!!!!!!!!

Friday, June 18, 2010

Day 169: Coolest FInd

Today I feel rather accomplished! I woke up and got ready, had a presidency meeting and helped cleaned out some more of great granny's house! I know it doesn't sound like a lot but as for our presidency meeting we got stuff planned for camp.....which I am freaking excited for!!!!!

As for Granny's.....me, mom and grandma cleaned out a cupboard, a dresser full of more jewelry, gloves and bags, and another closet, well most of it anyways!!!! It doesn't sound like a lot, but believe me it is. I have seen more Tupperware today then I think I have ever seen in my life time! My Granny, for some strange reason, purchased 2 or 3 things of the same thing, so we have a lot of unused Tupperware, cooking pans, cooking everything really! So if your looking for cooking stuff....please stay tuned for when we will be having our first of many yard sales to come.

Even though it was a mess cleaning today, today's coolest find was a journal entry. Like I said in one of my previous blogs, my Granny always wrote in her journal and today we found an entry about the day her and my Great Grandpa were married from February in 1934!!! How cool is that?!?!?!?!?! I've never heard the story and it was fun to hear. I could totally see the two of them asking to be married and going to find a ring and everything. It was really cute. She also went on to talk about their reception, at least that is what I think it was. She talked about how neither her or grandpa really wanted to go, but they did anyway. She said how they had to start out the party with a dance, again, which neither of them wanted to do. She talked about how there was the beautiful white wedding cake decorated in yellow and pink with two bells on top and how they got a ton of wedding presents. It was definitely the coolest find of the day!!!!!

Well I am starving so I think I am going to go get some dinner......TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 168: Patiently Waiting

Today is just today. I cleaned off my grandparents patio, sewed and made dinner. Yup super exciting day! I really can't tell you how much I am ready for school to start. I know that school is will cause the following:
-stress
-extreme nervousness
-excitement
-busy-ness
-lots of homework
-worry
-real life coming at me
All that and so much more, but I'll admit it.....I am a geek....I LOVE SCHOOL! It is hard and stressful and full of homework, but I love to learn and I love to be out doing things, meeting people and keeping busy, and with starting a new chapter of my life, all I will be doing is those things. That is terrifying but super exciting! I Just want august to be here!!!!!!! Oh well, I guess I will wait patiently........TOOTLES!!!!

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Day 167: Soccer

So not much went on today, however I did watch one of the world cup soccer games today. I love playing soccer and watching it in the stadium, but I have never overly enjoyed watching it on tv, but I actually really enjoyed it today! Jeff had the Uruguay vs. South Africa game on today and so I sat down and watched the second half! It was a good game, but I think South Africa was a little cheated. I don't remember a ton about soccer from when I played a few years ago, but I can tell when you have a crappy ref out on the field who calls just stupid, ridiculous calls. It also seemed to me that Uruguay was incredibly winey and just thought they were above everybody else. I was not impressed. It was still fun to watch though and I cant wait to watch the USA game on Friday! Well I better go......TOOTLES!!!

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Day 166: Just Another Day

Today has not been overly interesting! I went and got thread so I could work on my quilt some more. Last night I finished sewing the main part of my quilt and it looks pretty good. Now I just have to sew on the border and quilt it and then put the binding on it. It shouldn't take a ton of time to sew the rest of the stuff, but the binding is going to take probably a good 4-5 hours because I have to hand stitch it all. Man....I LOVE sewing!!!!! Well on top of getting thread, I also cleaned/organized my closet!!!! There is my day today.....exciting I know! Well I am out.....TOOTLES!!!!

Monday, June 14, 2010

Day 165: My Granny!

WHY OLETA, WHY?!?!?!?! I love my great granny dearly, but today is one of those days where I cant help but hit my head against a wall. My granny passed away in January and we are only barely starting to put a very very very small dent in cleaning out her house. Between growing up in the depression era and not cleaning or throwing out anything after my great uncle and great grandpa passed away years ago, we will probably be cleaning out that house forever! She held onto EVERYTHING....hence the beating of the head against the wall

Today me, mom and Jeff went to tackle a few things. Jeff, the awesomest brother that he is, completely cleaned the front yard. The weeds are gone, the trees and bushes are trimmed, everything. It looks good!!! Mom and me tackled the inside! We organized like crazy and found $18 in cash and too much change to count. I also learned that my gran and I have similar taste. All the purses and wallets I loved were apparently the purses and wallets, according to mom, that she was always carrying around! But we now have stacks everywhere and the biggest stack is the stack of gloves, scarves, hats, purses and wallets that have engulfed her bed because there are so many.

Even though it has been a lot of work and will be a TON more work to do, it is really kinda fun to do sometimes. I knew my gran, but I didn't really know her and by cleaning everything out I am kind of getting a chance to learn a little more about her!
My Granny!
My Granny in her young, sexy years!
My gran in her twenties
Gran and me! I've never seen this pic but I found it looking for pics of her and I love it!

Things about my granny:
1. She was one fashionable woman! She loved clothes, jewelry, purses, scarves and gloves.
2. She always loved to play a game of Skipbo......and she kicked everyone butt at it too!
3. She was never seen without her camera....whether it was a funeral, family party or her haircut appointment, she had her camera, so we have pictures from literally EVERYTHING!
4. She wrote in her journal every day of her life....not kidding
5. At birthday parties, she would always ask for a sliver of cake and a small scoop of ice cream, but she would end up eating more than anyone else
6. She LOVED chocolate ice cream....actually she loved her sweets too!
7. She was stuck in her ways. She'd ask for a new sweater or coat, but still wear the old one if we got her a new one
8. She loved her family more than anything else in the world. She would always call and check on us or send us cards.
9. She never missed her weather forecast, the evening news, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy
10. She was one of the kindest, most compassionate, selfless woman I know

I could go on forever, but I will stop there. Even though cleaning out her house has been a challenge and will continue to be one, I am glad I get to learn more about her and learn about how she grew up. I love my granny too death and it still strange to walk into her house and not hear her voice, but I know she is ok and that she is happy! I love you Granny!!!

Sunday, June 13, 2010

Day 164: Catch Me If You Can

Today I was able to go to my friends Homecoming!!!! It was great to see her! Emma has been serving a mission in Illinois for the past year and a half and it sounded like she had a great time! Besides that not much has gone on. I am watching Catch Me If You Can with Leonardo DiCaprio and I really like it! I have never seen it before and since it was the only thing on TV I figured hey....why not watch it!
I forget about how much I like Leonardo DiCaprio because just isnt in many films, but he always does a good job and Tom Hanks.....well, where can you go wrong. Tom Hanks is a brilliant actor!!! I always love watching him in movies! He always does an excellent job!!!!! But I am loving this movie. I am thinking I am going to add it to my movie list! Well I am out......TOOTLES!!!!!

Saturday, June 12, 2010

Day 163: Kitchen and Chillin

So I am out at my dad's for today and this morning he moved in the appliances!!! For those of you who dont know, my dad has been remodeling his kitchen for the past year and this morning he put in the appliances and I must say it looks pretty good! Me and Mel then cleaned out the fridge so it would look all pretty and everything! Besides that it is just a chill day. I think we are just going to put in a couple of movies and scrapbook today......yay for scrapbooking!!!! Well I am out......TOOTLES!!!!

Friday, June 11, 2010

Day 162: Things Done Today

Things done today:
1. Cleaned my half of the house
2. Straightened my hair
3. Downloaded and upload some music onto my computer
4. Burned some CD's for my car
5. Sang with the Glee songs that I downloaded at the top of my lungs
6. Ate some lunch
7. Watched Mame (great musical by the way, it stars Lucille Ball. Great Show)
8. Checked my email
9. Checked facebook
10. facebooked one of my roommates

Yup.......super productive day......um hum. As for now I am going to go pack cuz I am going out to my dad's for today and tomorrow.........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 161: Reading Addiction

Okay so I knew the movie, The Last Song, came out a few months ago, but I really wanted to read the book first because I had heard it was soooooo good. Well on Saturday my step mom let me borrow her copy and I haven't stopped reading it! I have read non stop all day and finally finished cuz I just couldn't put it down!!! It was soooooo good!!!! I cried through most of the second half of the book like I am sure most people have, but that is ok!!!! I am such a hopeless romantic that this book was right up my alley and now I want to see the movie way bad!!!!!!
I actually haven't had any time to read lately because of school, so reading today has started my addiction all up again. I just love to read so much and I wish I had more time to read!
Here is a list of some of my most favorite books:

1. The Gemma Doyle Trilogy
2. The luxe Series
3. The Harry Potter Series
4. The Scarlet Pimpernel
5. Sherlock Holmes Mysteries
6. The Last Song
7. The ABC Murders (or anything by Agatha Christie is always good)

Man I could go on forever!!!! I just love books! I love reading and re reading and re re reading....it is fantastic!!!!!!!! Thanks Mel for letting me borrow the book......it was fantastic!!!!

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Day 160: Hike

Not much going on today, but I did do something of my own free will that I never thought I would ever do..........I HIKED!!!!!!!! For those of you who know me, yeah I am sure your jaws are dropping......Mine is also dropping. Well here is the deal, I was sick of sitting at home with no human interaction so I thought what better way to get out of the house then to go to young womens tonight, which just happened to be our girls camp hike. I was lucky cuz I got to hang with one of my bestest friends, Cassie, and it was pretty fun. We hiked ensign peak, which isn't a hard hike either, so it wasn't to bad. You can tell that I have been stuck in the house to long because I just said hiking was fun......yes disgusting, I know!
Oh and I hoped everyone watched Glee last night!!!!! It was awesome!!!!!! A Journey medley at regionals.............GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Finn and Rachel were all cute and then the final song with will and puck......I about died!!!!! Loved it!!!
Well I am out.............TOOTLES!!!!!

Tuesday, June 8, 2010

Day 159: Lots of Excitement

Yet again.......nothing has happened today! It has been pretty boring. I got my 3rd roommate on facebook today........WOOT WOOT! Her name is Maren and.......drum roll please......she is from riverton and she plays the violin!!!!!!!!! I AM SUPER EXCITED!!!! I am living with one of my kind hahahahahaha!!!! I am excited and it looks like she is super nice too! The roommates are looking promising and I am super excited!!!! I think it is funny that all of us are from the same area. We now have a Jaguar, Grizzly Bear, Silver wolf and Miner all living under one roof and still one more to find out about! We are actually suppose to have 6 in our dorm, so we might have another one coming in when school starts, but heaven only knows.
Well I am going go watch the season premiere of Pretty Little Liars. It is the new ABC Family original series. It looks pretty good so I guess we will see if it is any good. Also tonight is the season finale of Glee..........SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I am out.......TOOTLES!!!!!

Monday, June 7, 2010

Day 158: Summer and Roommates

It is officially summer! I have mixed feeling about summer. It is nice because I don't have much to do, but it stinks because I don't have much to do. Today was a pretty boring day.....not going to lie! I apparently need a to do list for this summer. Let's see what we can come up with.....

1. Finish my quilt
2. Deep clean my room
3. Scrapbook
4. Clean out underneath my bathroom sink
5. Go on a few dates
6. Start the dress I bought a pattern and fabric for a year ago
7. Finish my cross stitch
8. Read as much as I can
9. Continue to fill out scholarship stuff
10. Stay fit

Ok that seems like a good list to start out with. Tomorrow I will clean off my dresser and sew part of my quilt and fill out one scholarship application.......YES......I WILL DO IT!!!!!! If I sit around all summer I will loose my mind. I am working for July but that is it and I cant move into college until August 21st....so I must keep myself busy!!!! Oh speaking of college.....I got my roommate list a couple days ago and I am now facebook friends with two of them! The two that I am now friends with are Caitlin and Kaelyn. Caitlin goes to Bingham and is on Dance co and Kaelyn goes to Copper Hills and is also on Dance co and they both look really nice. Luckily both of them know people I know, so I am hoping if we have mutual friends then we will hopefully get along pretty well. I am excited to get to know them! I've just got to keep an open mind going in or I will be in major trouble.
Well I am going to head off..........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 157: GROW SEED, GROW!!!

Today has been a pretty good day! I went to church, where I had a great Young Women's lesson and then I came home and chilled for a little while. After the great chilling was finished, my family came over and had dinner and cake to celebrate graduation......and yes, it was the amazing cake, yet again!!!! But thanks family for coming and everything......it was great!
On top of that, I've had a cute boy texting me all night! That is pretty much the cherry on top of everything today, well I should say the cherry on top of everything this week! HE has text me the past few days. NOT me text him, but HIM text me.........WOOT WOOT!!!!!!! I am really confused, but I am not complaining....I have decided just to go with the flow because if I don't, I might loose my mind. I just hope that the seed I planted is growing......GROW SEED, GROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has just been a great past few days and I hope that is saying something for how this summer is going to go!!!!!!! Well I am going to go watch the Glee episode I missed on Tuesday, so I am out...........TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Day 156: Lagoon

I survived!!!!! Yeah I did not get lost last night, which was good because today was loads of fun! Every year my step mom's work has a work Lagoon day where we get free food and get a day at the park and luckily, today was it!!!!!
We went this morning and had loads of fun. Somehow and by some miracle, we knocked out all the important and fun rides in the morning before we had lunch, which was nice because we were all tired after lunch! We totally got to go on my favorite rides, which made me super happy!!!

The Fire Dragon is one of my favorites!!! The funny thing is, up until a couple years ago, I refused to ride it!I love wicked! The fastness and the thrill is way fun!
And the Wild Mouse!!! Not many people love this ride, but strangely I do. It isn't a screamer ride for me, but just a fun one to ride!!!

I love all these rides and when ever I go, they are usually the first ones I go on! I love other rides too, but those are the best. The funny thing is, I use to hate roller coasters. I wouldn't go on them at all because they terrified me. However after I went to Disney Land/ California Adventures for tour a year and a half ago, my roller coaster fear was cured. Don't ask me why, but it was. But today was a great day and I had such a fun time hanging with my family even though dad wasn't there! Missed you dad!!!!! But today was loads fun.....thanks family!!!!

Day 155: Tonight's Adventure

So today is just another day! Exciting right? Well not much going on today, however later me and my friend Sydnee are going up to Oakcrest Beehive camp. Kathryn is a counselor up there this year and the week before all the beehives come up, they have a family and friends night, so we are going up there for that! It should be way fun, but the big question is how lost will we get trying to get up there.......it should be interesting to say the least! I am not the greatest at finding directions, but I can do it, however going up a mountain will truly test my great navigation skills, so if you don't hear from me tomorrow, you can probably guess that Sydnee and me are lost up in a mountain somewhere.........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 154: Hang Over

Oh. my. goodness........I am soooooo tired! I have a rather large graduation hang over! Yesterday was great. The ceremony wasn't overly long, I didn't trip, my family was there and I got to party after. After the ceremony, we took a few more pictures and I said goodbye to some of my friends then later Lauren, Alex and I went to party.
We started out at one party that wasn;t overly exciting, so we left and had our own. We went to Winco at 12 in the morning and got way to much food. We then came back to my house and partied it up. We ate pizza and chips and gummy worms and some much more while we watched movies and had fun. Then later Karen came over and we continued partying. Finally 4am hit and we called it a night! It was super fun and a great way to celebrate graduation! As for now, I am going to go take a quick nap before I go over to Kenzie's graduation party.......TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Day 152: What A Day

So today started out with a 2.5 hour graduation rehearsal......which was super exciting. I have discovered that I truly am the tallest girl and my class, so therefore because of that, I will be the last girl to sit in her seat after walking in tomorrow. On the plus side we have like ten extra guys in our class, so I am not the LAST person to sit down.......WOOT WOOT!!!!!
Well after a long and tedious rehearsal, my friends Alex, Karen, Nicole, Reg and I all went to Nicole's for a little while and then we all of us but Nicole then went to Reg's house and played Mario Party. I have discovered that it is my life long goal to beat Reg at that game. Every time we play he ends up coming in first and I am always in second. I kick butt, but some how he gets too many stars and wins every time, but just wait some day I'll take him down.
After that I then went to work and then went and sat outside for a couple hours, as is tradition, to wait in line for our year book stomp to start!
At 6pm we were finally let into the doors and the year book signing started! I seriously have no room left for people to sign........ I FEEL SOOOOOO LOVED!!!!!! On the other hand, I have also never written so many heart felt messages in such a short amount of time! It is honestly crazy that school ends tomorrow.....and it not just ends..........it REALLY ends. The end of my childhood education is done like that!!!!! I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!! It has finally hit me some, and I am sure tomorrow it will come in full force, but as for now I am exhausted and I still need to write an important letter so I am out........TOOTLES!!!!!
