59: Fair Thee Well Olympics

It is the last day of the 2010 Olympics.......sadness!!!!! I love watching the olympics. They just make me all warm and fuzzy inside. Getting to see all these amazing athletes compete with each other, yet still be extremely kind and civil towards each other is awesome! My most favorite event to watch is women's figure skating and the ladies did amazing this year! I also just love watching ice skating in general.
I know she is not for the USA, but Kim Yu-Na skated the most amazing short program ever!
I did not watch much of Apollo Ohno, but the races that I did watch rocked! He is soooo amazing and I loved him on Dancing with the Stars too, even though that has nothing to do with anything I just thought I would add that in.
I also loved lindsey Vonn this year too. She had a few rough races, but she did amazing!

Shaun White as well did amazing! I loved his final run where he did the double mctwist or whatever it was....but it was amazing!
Mens figure skating was amazing as well. Evan Lysacek was amazing and he totally deserved to win gold this year! Also I think he is EXTREMELY handsome!!!
This years olympics was just amazing. From the incredible hockey game to bobsled and so much more! I am going to miss watching them, however that just means that the 2012 summer olympics are that much closer. As much as I love the winter olympics, I thrive off the summer olympics! I also really hope that some day down the road that the olympics come back to Utah. I was only 9 when they were here last so I do not remember much, but if they could come back now that I am older....that would be AMAZING!!!! Well that is really all I have to say today, but as for now I am going to go finish watching the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver, Canada Winter Olympics.........Fair thee well olympics!!!!!

Day 58: Works For Me

So I got back from rehearsal this morning and didnt want to do homework, and still dont want to do homework, but I had nothing else to do. I watched some tv but I still wanted to do something, I just didnt know what. I thought I wanted to scrapbook, but I pulled out my stuff and that wasnt really what I wanted to do either. Then I started looking through some of my other crafty stuff and I came across my cross stitching stuff. I think it was about 3 years ago, that my mom had finally finished her huge cross stitch of the Last Supper and I thought it was so cool that I wanted to cross stitch too, so me and my mom went and got stuff so I could. Well that phase lasted all of about an hour and then I felt like doing something else, but I looked at it today and said sure....why not! So I have been cross stitching all day long and........I have rather enjoyed it. The pattern I am doing is the picture below, however the picture that looks blue, is actually black. That is the one I am doing right now, then I will move on to the red one!
I always wanted to get into cross stitching, but I never thought I would ever have the patience or interest in it, but I guess I thought wrong cuz I love it! So there is the randomness for the day.....Kristen and cross stitch............works for me!

57: Neverland

So today me, my mom and my dad all headed up to aggie-ville so that I could start figuring out the finer details of all that good college stuff and with that I have one thing to say............OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!! I am really excited for college, but today it kind of hit me that I am GOING to college. I got to see classes look like, look at housing, see students out on the campus....I mean really my day today was a day in the life as a college kid.....with her parents, but still the general idea was there. I'm not going to lie......I dont think I am ready. I guess there is this thing called SOAR (student orientation and registration) and I have to go up and it is a full day of orientation and seeing what student life is like. Then I realized I have to sign up for classes on that same day, but it isnt like high school where you can bring the paper home to mom and dad and talk about what classes would be good to take.....oh no.......I have to sign up for classes up there....ALL BY MYSELF! I know that sounds like not a huge deal, but it kinda is. I mean I will have an adviser that will help me, but I have no mom to tell me and agree with me that a certain class would be a good idea or that I should never take that class.....NO I HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT BY MYSELF!!! I dont think I am ready........I still like fruit snacks and watching Phineus and Ferb......does that sound like someone who should go out into the real world and fend for herself.......I DONT THINK SO!!!!! I like growing up and being the big kid but there is a point where were I need to take a vacation to Neverland and never, NEVER come back.
I liked being little and having drama and problems that were only as big as your best friend stealing your purple crayon. I dont like this whole dealing with college expenses and finding a home and making all these big, important life decisions. Nope, I am done I am leaving them all behind and vacationing to Neverland.

I mean look at that......how is that not perfect!?!?!?!?! I will escape all my troubles, be a kid forever, play with the lost boys and mermaids, have adventures, learn to fly, swim in the perfect and sparkling ocean and so much more! Yup that settles it...I am going to Neverland!!!!

56: Soccer Champs!

So today has been a long day and I am sure you have all heard about the walk out by now. No, I did not walk out, Yes I think all the stuff going on is important but I am tired of discussing it today so I am going to blog about something that is ten trillion times better.........YOUNG WOMENS SOCCER!!!!!!
Our Young Women's soccer season is over and yes.........THE RIVER 4TH WARD GIRLS ARE UNDEFEATED!!!!!!!!!!! We won all our seasons games, plus tonight's championship game against the leaders.....that is right...we beat the leaders!!!! We won 8-5, but I must say it was an excellent game! The leaders were so much fun to play against and I would like to congratulate all of them, especially since they played amazing in the 80's get ups!!!!! It was just so much fun! I am so sad to season the end, I have had so much fun playing with all my girls. I have learned soooo much from them and grown way closer to them too! I love my girls!!!!! And I know I said I was going to post pictures this week, and I honestly was going to however my computer is hating me right now and wont let me load them, So I will try again soon and get those pictures up!
But after the game we decided to have us a little celebration, so we headed over the chelsea's house to pizza, soda, fruit and cake and watch a movie! We watch Bride Wars, which I love, and just had a good time! We all just got to chill and talk for a little while, which was excellent! I love my friends and I forget sometimes how amazing they are and how much I appreciate them! All I have to say is that they better blog until the day they die so I can always be in touch with them, especially since I am leaving in a few months!!!
But I just wanted to say I love my girls and thank you sooooo much for a fantastic soccer season!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Day 55: Crap Day

So today has not been exciting. I started my day out by waking up at one this moring because i felt sick. After feeling sick, I then proceed to throw up at around 2:30 and then I kinda slept after that. I did end up going to school because I couldnt miss english and anatomy. I have just been tired and felt crappy all day long and it sucks.
On top of that there is all this crap going on with the walk out in school tomorrow. For Jordan School District there is suppose to be a walk out at 8:30 to stand up for all the crap going on with the district. I dont know what is going to happen. I think there are better ways to go about this whole thing then walking out, but heaven only knows what is going to happen. All I know is that I am tired and I feel like crap, so I am going to curl up on the couch....TOOTLES!

Day 54: Clothing Class

Not much has gone on today. The best part of today was my clothing class today! Sadly my clothing class is split into a clothing I and II class, but on the other hand that it is still really fun. There is only about 5 of us in the clothing II part and we, and the TA for that class, have a blast together! We know way too much about each other and are always laughing and today was no exception. We were all wired today in class and there was like no one in class today but us and a couple clothing I kids so we were really crazy! The best part was that Mrs. Nielsen was wired too! I love my clothing teacher, she is amazing and so much fun! Sometimes she can come off a little ditzy, but she is one of the smartest woman I know! She knows her clothing and fashion stuff like no one I know! But today in class we sewed, and for how hyper we all were, we actually got a lot of stuff done. We also laughed non-stop and had cake.....yes, cake in clothing.....random right? But today was just so much fun in clothing! Also on top of that I went in after school so I could work on my dress today and I now have the bodice lining and the bodice fashion fabric all done!!!!!! For the bodice, all I have left to do is put the overlay on, however I still have to do the sleeves and the skirt part and all the little details like hemming, add the zipper and hook and eye, and all the finishing touches. It is going to take a lot of work, but I am so much closer and I am so excited. On the plus side, it has to be done by March 20th, so I will post pics the second I am done.
But as for now I am going to go watch some American Idol and then go to bed.....TOOTLES!!!!

Day 53: Tchaikovsky

So since my utah youth symphony rehearsal this past saturday I have not been able to get Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony our of my head! I am in love with this symphony! I loved playing Dvorak's symphony for our tabernacle concert, but I LOVE playing this symphony!!!! I have never played Tchaikovsky before and I have heard the Nutcracker time and time again, however I have never realized how genius this man is!
Here are the reasons I love playing Tchaikovsky:
1: He is so passionate about his music that it comes across in his compositions and it is so emotional and you feel the passion when you play
2: He LOVES cellos. There are so many spots where the cellos get the main melody, and no only do we have melody, but we are show cased so we are heard above the rest of the orchestra
3: His use of dynamics, time signatures, chords, keys and phrasings ARE AMAZING!!!!!
4: The second movement of his 5th symphony is gorgeous
5: I love everything, well almost everything...the third movement of his 5th symphony isnt quite my cup of tea, yet it is still amazing

As you can tell I am slightly obsessed hahahaha! If you guys would like to hear this amazing symphony stayed tuned for details about my Utah Youth Concert in the spring. In may we will be having our final concert at Abravanel Hall and we will be play Tchaikovsky's 5th!!!!!!

Day 52: Thursday and College

Nothing has gone on today! I went to church and had to go to my grandma's for a few minutes but that is it....and I really dont know what to write about either! It has been a long weekend and I really dont want to go to school this week, however I am ready for thursday to get here. On thursday we have the championship soccer game for my stakes young women's indoor soccer thing. I am rather excited. My ward made it to championship where we will face the leaders of our stake! I am pretty sure we are going to kick some tookus...then after wards we are going to celebrate (win or lose) with some pizza, soda, cake and a movie, since we have no school on friday....WOOT WOOT!!!!
Speaking of friday....since I have no school on friday me, my mom, dad and maybe my step mom(if my dad has even talked to her about it) are going to go up to USU and look at housing and all that good stuff that I need to figure out so I can head up there in the fall and start school as an official aggie!!!!!

Here are my reasons for college excitement:
1. I get to get out of high school
2. I get to meet new people
3. I get to learn new stuff out the wa-zoo
4. I get to move out
5. I just get a new experience over all
6. Aggie football and Basketball
7. Aggie ice cream at my finger tips

I am just so ready to get out of high school! I am sick of all the drama, people and crap that goes on. I think I am much more of a college girl than a high school girl too. I just am so excited and once I head up on friday I guess I will start getting a picture of what college is going to be like!!!!! I CANT WAIT!!!!

Day 51: Today

So I dont have more than a minute cuz I am going to go chill with Kathryn for a little while cuz I have not seen her in forever, but I wanted to blog really quick cuz I dont know when I will be home! In all honesty today has been good and crappy all at the same time. Here are the reasons why:
1. Rehearsal went really well this morning
2. I got to go to dinner with my family to celebrate my uncles birthday
3. At dinner, the waiter we had was pretty cute and he is a West Jordan Jaguar!
3. I get to hang out with Kat tonight
4. I have the bestest friends in the world
5. Sam's Club did not have a single sample table out while we were there today
6. People are stupid, confusing and frustrating
7. It is just one of those days

Friday, February 19, 2010

Day 50: Chilling

Hey just thought i'd blog really quick.  I am at my friends. Kaitlyn's house and I wanted to blog quick so I wouldnt miss a day.  But i am just chilling with Kaitlyn, Lauren, Danillie and Chandler so i am going to boogie!!!! TOOTLES

Day 49: UNDEFEATED

So pretty much my young women's soccer team is the best EVER!!!!!! We killed it today! I will admit, at the start of our game today we were a little off and it took a while to get into the swing of things and I was a little scared, but then WA-BAM.......we came out of no where! We seriously rocked it!!!!! There were some awesome scores by some awesome girls tonight!!! I think we ended up winning 4-0 or 5-0....i'm not really sure, but we won!!! The best part is.....I THINK, I HOPE, that we made it to the championship! With being undefeated, I think we made it in and if that is the case we will be playing the leaders next week!
The thing that has been so awesome about doing soccer is watching the girl grow. When we started this whole soccer thing out, our little beehives were a little timid, but now they are super competitive!!! I also have loved getting to learn and grow closer to these girls! This whole thing has just been a blast! I have pictures, however I could not find my memory card reader so that I could load the pictures up onto the computer, so I will try and post them next week! As for now I am going to go watch some Project Runway!!!! TOOTLES.......and to my soccer girls.....I LOVE YOU TOO DEATH.....YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!

Day 48: SWEETHEARTS

Ok so everyone has been on my case to blog about Sweethearts so now that I have a few minutes I figured I would do that really quick!

Ok so sweethearts! I was unable to do a day activity because Anthony's little sister was getting baptized that morning, so we couldnt go, but it actually worked out ok that way. But 4 o'clock rolled around and I went and picked him up and met his mom, dad, sister, brother....aunt, uncle.....his other aunt and other uncle. Haha I wasnt quite expecting that many people, but they liked my dress so I am hoping I passed the family test.
Anyways after I got him we headed over to paige's house, where our group was meeting up to carpool over to dinner. In our group we had me and Anthony, Paige Stott and Marty Buhler, Kenzie Kunz and Cody Crabb, Korinne Ivory and Phil Brown, and Dakota Holland and Thomas White!
We then headed over to dinner at the Macaroni Grill, which was really good, however due to the fact that I had been nervous all day....I didnt eat a lot (I am sure you all know how my nerves get a hold of me hahaha)
So after dinner we headed back to the school for the dance which was really fun......and sparkley!!! We all chilled at the dance and had a good time. Hahaha Anthony taught me how to waltz and by the end of the night i could actually do it without watching my feet.......happy day!!!!!
So after the dance we all headed back to Paige's house for Fondu and a movie! The fondu was amazing and like we had done all day, we continued to do Mad Libs. Apparently Thomas had brought a book of Mad Libs earlier in the day and we just kept doing them all day! So we did that and ate yummy chocolate dipped things! Then after the Fondu we went down stairs and watched a movie! We watched Fame, which I was extremely disappointed in, however the snuggling that went on during the movie (and after) made up for the fact that the movie was pretty crappy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But that was pretty much my night! I had a fantastic day and it seemed like everyone else did too!!! I, sadly, forgot my camera so I do not have any pictures on me, however Thomas and Marty did go picture crazy, however Marty has not posted any of his, but here is one that Thomas took, that I kinda like!

This was at dinner at I thought it was pretty cute....so I added it hahahah!
I am hoping more pictures are on the way and as soon as I get my actual dance pictures, I will try and post those!
It seriously was one of the funnest nights ever and I am so glad my friends pushed me to go!!!!! YAY for Sweethearts!!!!! Well I am now off to bed.....TOOTLES!!!!

Day 47: Too Much

Sorry everybody but I have too much homework tonight. After work and now the process of completing 5 AP Music Theory assignments, that are going to take some time, a re-write of my English paper now that it has been peer edited and a review packet for anatomy......I have no time at all today, so here is my entry!!!!! TOOTLES!!!!

Monday, February 15, 2010

Day 46: Sorry

I am sorry, but again Sweethearts details will have to wait. I chilled today and just never got around to the computer and then I ended up going out to my dad's again for the Bentley pizza tradition. Every year for Valentines day, my grandpa Bentley(step grandpa) takes the family out for pizza and pasta and we just barely got back and I am thinking I am going to go to bed. I have symphonic rehearsal at 6am so i am off to bed......tootles!!!

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Day 45: My Siblings

So I was going to blog today all about the dance yesterday, however when I got home from church me and my brother went straight out to my dad's for dinner tonight so.........I'm thinking i'll blog about it tomorrow just because it is late. I do want to say one thing before going to bed though....i love my step family. When you put me, Jeff, Kenna, and Matt all in the same room (when we are all in a good mood) we are a hoot!!!! Are personalities are all so different that we just feed off each others craziness and everything becomes funny! My little sister, Kenna, is just so sarcastic that everything that is said is hysterical. As for Matt, sometimes he takes things too serious but at other times he takes things not serious enough, and whatever mood he is in always turns out to be funny. Jeff just likes teasing us all that everything is funny. As for me.....well I do not know exactly but somehow i contribute to the madness and make it fun!
We have had our ups and downs but when we all get going you know we will have a good time! Like take tonight, we all sat down and watch the olympics and when the pairs figure skating came on, which is my favorite, we all just started finding little things that made us laugh non stop. The best line of the evening was a carotid artery and how it would start shooting out blood across the ice if the guy just happened to trip over the girl! I tell you it is non stop fun.....even if it sound awful!!!
Some of the best times with my siblings have consisted of
1: Watching Matt and Jeff wrestle each other
2: Shoving HUGE pillows down our clothes and being the big butt pillow people
3: Wearing our underwear on the outside of our clothes and creating capes and making ourselves superheros
4: The night of the '09 Mo Tab Christmas Choir Concert
5: Sunday dinners
I always have so much fun hanging out with them and it sucks that we cant go out as much as we like!!! I love them to death and the best part about it is when we see the my dad's and melaine's faces. Sometimes they participate in the fun and other times, like tonight, they just kinda sit back and occasionally comment! It is such a blast and I love it!!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Day 44: Sweethearts

TODAY IS FINALLY HERE! I am so excited and I figured I probably would not have to to write later tonight so I though I would write quickly! Sadly Anthony an I were junabel to do a day activity because his little sister was getting baptized this morning, but it turned out well because he could go to that and I could go to rehearsal and we were able to stay dry and avoid all the rain, probably unlike the rest of my group!
As for the rest of my day, I am going to head up stairs right now and get ready, then I am going to go pick up my date, go to dinner at the Macaroni Grill, go to the dance, then head back to Paige's to watch a movie! I am rather excited, but I have got to go so I will write more tomorrow!!!!

Friday, February 12, 2010

Day 43: Decorating and My Orchestra Recital

Today, again, has been an excellent day! I honestly did not know if I would make it to the end because I have been non stop go since 6 this morning, but praise the Lord......I MADE IT! I started out with early morning rehearsal today then went to school! After school I helped set up the orchestra room full of chairs for our winter recital that we had tonight, which was a blast! Then after that I went and helped set up the commons for Sweethearts tomorrow. FFA and FCCLA are in charge of decorating for Sweethearts and since I am in FCCLA, I went and helped! It was a blast. I had to super glitter a ton of stuff, so I was covered in glittler(I am even still finding some in my hair). Also I helped hang up some stuff and just helped decorate with my friends! It also freaking rocked cuz I got to hang out with Chelsea and Shandy for a little while, which is awesome cuz I never see them at school!!! Luckily I got to see what everything looked like before I left the school for tonight and can I just say.....It looks pretty good!!!!! hahahaha there is glitter everywhere though lol
The other part of tonight was my Orchestra Winter Recital. I played a cello duet by Vivaldi with my friend Justin Cook and I also played a solo. For that I played the Allemande for Bach's unaccompanied cello suite, which actually turned ok, although I didnt have it memorized so I wasnt happy with myself over that, but it went pretty good!
After all that was said and done, some of us orchestra folk, and Harland, went to Arctic Circle. This has been a tradition since my sophomore year. Every time we have a concert we always go over to Arctic Circle and party. We have such a good time! So much is said and joked about that I will not repeat anything because you would probably all disown me because the inside jokes are just too much!!!!
But that was my night......and it was fantastic and on top of a good night, I am ending my day talking to the boy......so fair thee well everyone, I am headed off to bed, so I will be awake and refreshed for Sweethearts tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOODNIGHT!!!!!

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Day 42: R.I.P Lee McQueen

Today has been a never ending day, however on the plus side, our Young Women won our soccer game tonight!!! Everyone scored a goal and played great! I love playing soccer with young women, it is so much fun!
Here is the sad part of the day.....the fashion world has suffered greatly today. Lee Alexander McQueen, founder and designer of Alexander McQueen fashions, passed away today. For those of you who dont know who Lee McQueen is, he is a famous british design who has some pretty out there, but amazingly gorgeous designs. His clothes have been worn by Rihanna and Lady Gaga.....so you can see how crazy his designs are. He was extremely famous for his shoes, however I liked his clothes better. Here are some pictures so everyone can see what amazing things he designs.

These two, the red and the white one, are my favorite!!!!!

HIS DESIGNS ARE AMAZING!!!! Man I love fashion. I would give anything to have my designs walk down a runway or be posted up on the internet! I just love it!!!! But I am really sad that he has passed away because you can see how amazing his work is and and there is no one else like him! I JUST LOVE FASHION!!!!! R.I.P. Lee McQueen....you will be missed!!!

Day 41: Crossing My Fingers

So again, today has been pretty good, yet uneventful thus far! I went to school and now I am watching Ellen, which is fantastic because Channing Tatum and Michael Buble are on Ellen today!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE MICHAEL BUBLE.......but you already knew that hahaha!
The plans for the rest of tonight are go to Copper Hills High sophomore orientation. The symphonic orchestra and the chamber orchestra are both performing tonight, so I have to go and play my cello for a little while, which is totally fine with me! The bonus to this thing is that I will be at copper hills.....and all the clubs, departments, etc will be there......including the drama department *wink wink* so i'm crossing my fingers that a certain drama council member might just happen to be there tonight!!!! hahahaha wow, I am slightly pathetic, but that is ok!!!!!! Well I have to go get ready for tonight, so I am out......TOOTLES!!!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Day 40: Good Day

It has been a pretty slow, uneventful day, however it has been a good day! Nothing went on today which was kinda nice! I just went to school and had a good time in all of my classes! I also found some super cute, simple earrings to go with my dress and......MY SHOES FINALLY CAME! They are super cute and I will try and take some pictures soon and post them! I also talked to "him" today for a little while which was EXCELLENT ;D But that has pretty much been my day........it is super exciting, I know lol, but as for now I am going to finish watching NCIS: Los Angeles and then hit the hay because I am exhausted! TOOTLES!

Monday, February 8, 2010

Day 39: Orchestra Family

I LOVE MY ORCHESTRA FAMILY!!!! Today I spent the entire day with my orchestra family because we did middle school tours today! My day started out with Symphonic rehearsal at 6 am, then our combined WJHS/CHHS chamber orchestra went to 3 different middle schools and played for 4 different groups! We did this to kind of recruit the 9th graders for orchestra next year. We do it so we can get them excited for high school and high school orchestra! All I can say is....we have way too much fun together. Between our 2nd and 3rd school, we had like an hour and a half to kill so we went back to WJHS to have a rehearsal in between and that was a blast! We worked out some trouble spots and rehearsed, then we just kinda chilled and ate lunch and played games! We actually played 3D twister, which is where someone has a key and then you each start grabbing hands and add onto this pile of people. The goal of the game is to get out of the pile as fast as you can after someone drops the key! The other goal is to make the whole as awkward as possible.....which we accomplished all too well!!! The only thing this game proves is that we, as an orchestra family, are WAY to comfortable with each other!
The other great thing about today was that we had to cari-van up to sunset ridge middle because no one really knew where it was. It was so much fun because we had like 8 cars lined up and we were honking our horns and people were doing chinese fire drills and we were throwing stuff out our window to each other! I am sure the other people around us were like what the heck is going on, but I promise we were being safe and not causing anyone harm.....we were just having a little fun;D
Today was just so much fun! I love hanging with everyone in orchestra....we have such a good time!!!! I LOVE THEM ALL SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Day 38: Super Bowl Sunday

I love Super Bowl Sunday! Every year we head out to my uncle's house and party, and luckily this year was no different! Every year we always have chicken salad sandwiches, macaroni salad and this cherry whip cream salad thing that is heavenly and this year was no different, however we also added a crab salad into the mix this year which was really good!
Here is the real kicker to Super Bowl Sunday in my family. My grandpa's birthday is on the 4th of Feb, so since we are all together for the game we celebrate his birthday while we are watching the game (we do all the presents and what not during the half time show). The real bonus to this is.....WE GET CAKE!!!! I'm not just talking lame cake, I'm talking the good, super sugar loaded, flower topped cake!!!! Oh man it tasted so good!
On top of that tonight we just really chilled at watched the game! Most of my family was rooting for the Colts (including me), but really we all just wanted to watch a good game, which it was for the most part! I cant complain! But for those non-football fans out there the final score was Saints: 31 and Colts: 17. Even though I am sad my colts lost, I was glad we got to watch a good game and I was even more happy that I got to spend time with my family! We had a great time tonight just hanging out! I played with my little cousin, Madison, who is 8, on the computer while we watched the game, while everyone else just kinda chilled and played with my little 16 month year old cousin Hudson! It was just a great night!

Day 37: Oh Granny

Today started out with a quick practice with my amazing cello friend Justin. We are doing a cello duet for solo and ensemble so we practiced today with our pianist to put the finishing touches on our piece! It is going to rock!
The other part of my day consisted of cleaning out my great grandma's house. I was thinking that we could have her house cleaned out in probably like 2-3 months, however today, my mom, grandma and I spent 3 hours cleaning and we did not even make a dent! We cleaned out the bathroom and started cleaning out one of the bedrooms, but since my grandma saved EVERYTHING, we what did not even come close to anything! We took out 6 bags of garbage and stacked a lot of glass wear and vases and what not to be sold later! I can now see what living in the depression era does to people, because they had so little, they saved everything and throughout the years, that hasnt changed. I love my little granny, but we are all slightly cursing her with what she left us to take care of, but at the same time I am ok with it. There is a lot of cleaning and moving of things that have to be done, but at the same time I am learning more and more about my granny then I ever knew! Although I can say one thing, when you fill half a garbage bag full of old cards from 30 years ago up to the present, saving everything takes on a WHOLE new meaning!!!

Day 36: UYSO Concert

I just thought i'd right quick because I wont have any other time to today! I am at school right now, but then I have work right after then I have to be down town by 5:30pm so that I can start rehearsal at 5:45pm for my Utah Youth Symphony concert that starts at 7:30pm. I am not looking forward to the hour and a half work of practice before an hour concert, but since we are in the tabernacle we have to do a major sound check since the acoustics are so crazy! I am super excited though, just not looking forward to rehearsal! However I am excited, we are playing Dvorak's 6th symphony and Shostakovish's Festival Overture! They are the most amazing pieces ever!!! The Dvorak has some incredible movements. I really like all the movements except the 2nd. It is really slow and really pretty, it just isnt my cup of tea. As for the Festival Overture.......A-MAZ-ING!!!! It is super fast then at the end is goes in to this awesome three two time and it just has huge ending! The whole concert is going to be amazing......i hope, but i am super excited!

Day 35: GOAL

Today, again, has been another fabulous day! I got to sleep in today again, then I went out to breakfast with my girlfriends Paige, Kaitlyn, Lauren and Dakota! We continued on our UBSCT tradition and hit Sonic for breakfast! It is the only time during the year that I have french toast sticks, tots and a sonic M&M shake for breakfast! I know.......super healthy right?!?! But then I went to school and cut out all my overlay pieces for my dress today too!!!
But after school I came home and chilled and did homework for a little while then I went to my Young Women's indoor soccer game......where WE KICKED BOOTIE!!!!!!! The final score was 6-0 and I seriously have the best young women ever! I did not know the sweet skills that my young women had! Lisa is one of the best goalies ever! Also Jessica played defense and forward while Kayden played goalie and forward....and can i just say they rock! Chelsea, Brianna and Kassy just rock in general! They hussel like no other! BEST TEAM EVER.......that is all I have to say! I LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!

Day 34: Good Day

Again......today has been a fabulous day! Nothing special happened but it has just been a good day! I got to sleep in, go to school and head out to my grandma's for a little while. My Aunt is in town from California and I NEVER GET TO SEE HER!!!! So we went and visited with her for a little while and had us some food and cake since it is her birthday! However other than that.....nothing is going on. I should be doing homework but instead I am blogging!
On another plus side of today....I am going to Young Womens in a little bit and I am rather excited! We are decorating cookies and taking them to some of the single sisters in the ward! We are also heart attacking them.......i think hahaha.
On another plus side....I think I finally found shoes, for only $30 bucks! I'm sure you are all like "Kristen...cow murder that is a lot for shoes," but please realize I have a size twelve foot it is hard to find shoes, let a lone really cute silver strappy dress shoes (WITH A 3" HEEL)....so yes, today has be awesome!!!!!

I got to sleep in this morning since I didnt have to be to school until 10am!!!!! I did have to take Jeff to school so he could go take the test but then I came home and got ready and straightened my hair and blasted the 40's music off the XM radio off the tv! Day 32: Grammy's Best and Worst Dressed List

Well it is the day after the Grammy's and can I just say....what a show! There were some really good performance like Pink (even though she was barely wearing anything), Bon Jovi, The Dave Matthew's Band (the instrumentals where the coolest), the 3D Michael Jackson performance and Lady Gaga with Elton John, and those are just to name a few!
Well as everyone knows, I LOVE FASHION! I think it is one of the greatest things ever and I love it, so last night I was not only paying attention to the performances but also the outfits as well. When I grow up I would love to be able to work in the fashion world whether it is designing or writing about it, so I thought since every magazine, tv show and online servers do their Best and Worst Dress of the Grammy's, I thought I might do one to for this years Grammy's too.....so I would proudly like to introduce:

Kristen's 52nd Annual Grammy's Awards Worst and Best Dress List!!!!

The Best Dressed

I do not know a lot about Keri Hilson, however I thought she looked pretty good in this dress! I am not the biggest fan of the mermaid dresses, however her skin tone against the color of this dress and the fabric is amazing! She looked glamorous and dress was amazing! I giver Keri Hilson an A!
Okay....this is one of two of my most favorite dresses of the night! Lea Michele looked stunning in a simple, short black dress! Usually for the Grammy's a short dress is slightly risky because it is such a glamorous event, however the risk paid off! Everything about this look worked amazing for her. The straight hair, the black hills and the short simple dress was amazing! I give Lea Michele an A++++++

I will admit, I am slightly sick of hearing Taylor Swift on the radio and hearing her name everywhere, but she did look pretty darn good last night! I would be afraid I would lose this dress off the front of me lol, but I love the color and the cut! I only wish Taylor Swift would do something different with her hair, but for last nights look....she gets an A!
Okay here is my other favorite of the night! I love Carrie Underwood and the she showed up in this floor length angelic dress! It fit her soooooo incredibly well and even though the top of it was cut a little shorter, it was AMAZING!!!!! I have nothing bad to say about this outfit....the dress, the purse, the hair, the.....everything was amazing!!!!! She is a fantastic singer and this outfit just mirrored her talent so much.....I give this out fit an A++++++

The......I dont even know what to call it Dress

Oh Lady Gaga. hahaha I do not even know what to say about this......all I can say is I love her and she is, without a doubt, the only one who could ever pull off this outfit!

The Worst Dressed

I love Katy Perry but I do not know what she was thinking with this outfit! She looks good in gold and she is awesome, but this outfit was just a bad idea. It just kinda hung wrong on her and with the flowers and the sparkles and the long sleeves, this dress did not work. I give katy and her outfit a D+

Rihanna, Rihanna, Rihanna! What was she thinking?!?!?! First of all white is not the greatest color on her then she adds on the feather collar thing and big hip bumps....if you would even call them that. I will say that I really do like the draping of the skirt, but this whole thing is a disaster! I am giving this a big D-
Oh Beyonce! She is such a great performer, but her outfits last night were just not working for her. The cut on this dress was just a little to low for someone her age....at least that is my opinion. I also am trying to figure out who thought it was a good idea to decorate a dress with metals rings. It also looks like shoulder pads are back in style....gross! I love beyonce and her music but this outfit.....i'm not loving so much! I give this dress a D-
I know almost nothing about Imogen heap, but I would just like to say.....ahhhhh! An umbrella....really? And what is up with the collar thing! Gross, gross, gross......I give her a D!

Hope you all enjoyed Kristen's Best and Worst Dressed list for the 52nd annual Grammy's awards! Stay tuned for my Best and Worst Dressed list from the academy awards!!!!!
