Day 243: The Rest

So today I went to and experienced the rest of my classes. I had US Institutions, World Archeology, and Intro Astronomy. They weren't bad. In Institutions I think I am going to need to learn how to form an opinion very fast and stick to it, but also learn how to keep my mouth shut as well because it is government class that our teacher wants to be a large discussion class. I am excited but I think I'm going to need to be smart about what I say.

Archeology isn't bad, but my prof. is all about the hunter/gatherer angle, so we will see how that class unfolds, but on the plus side, Lauren is in that class, so if need be.......we can suffer together.

Astronomy wasn't what I expected which I can't decide if that is a good or bad thing, but I think I will learn a lot in that class. My only worry is my prof. is kinda monotone and has a british accent, so you sometimes can't understand what he is saying......which, if you think about it, is a little funny.

I have discovered today though that I do not like classes that start after 10am in the morning. Having early classes yesterday was wonderful and I have now discovered that Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be long.

Well I better go.....I need to eat and do homework......TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 242: First Day

So today was my first official day of college! All went well and it was most wonderful! Today I had integrated life science with Vicki Rosen who we are only to address as Vicki. She is quite a hoot. Even though it is science, she kept a class of 200 engaged and interested and she seems like a awesome lady! I think that class will be fun just because of the teacher.

I then went to institute where I have 15 kids in Bro. Lucherini's class. I think it is going to be a really good class as well. It is the 1 Nephi-Alma class and I am rather excited to dive on in.

Other than that today I went and sat in the library for a little while to look at some things and to get away from the rain. It POURED all morning and afternoon here, but luckily the shuttle is now up and running so I was able to hop onto that to head back home instead of walk.

I also had my symphony audition tonight and that did not go so well. It just isn't sitting right with me so I am not holding my breath on anything there. Other than that we have FHE tonight which means we have free dinner, which is always good! Well I better go...........TOOTLES!!!

Day 241: A Lot of Firsts

So yesterday I went grocery shopping for the first time as a growned up. I mean I have gone by myself before, but never as a college student all on my own in a foreign grocery store. Then later that night we had a blast! USU had a back to school bash, which was really just a concert, but it was great. This band called Barcelona played and they were awesome. Not exactly the music I would have picked for a back to school bash, but their music was way good. I need to go hit up the itunes to see if they have any cds!!! I also experienced my first mosh pit last night......me....a mosh pit....who would have thunk it. I felt so cool. It was really hot, slightly gross and you were practically gropping and/or standing on top of each other, but it was awesome!!!!!!

Then later we headed down to Nathan's apartment and ate ice cream and watched a movie and got home super late hahaha! Oh college life......it's such a love/hate relationship!

Well then this morning I got up and got ready and went to my first official student ward, which wasnt bad. We only had sacrament today though, because at 4pm we had a huge meeting at the spectrum to talk about YSA and the new stakes and stuff. Later we came home then went down to our building meeting and kind of met everyone.

Then after that I headed over to Kari's (Lauren's sister) house for dinner. She was so nice and made dinner for a three of us freshmen for kind of like a good luck/welcome dinner! It was yummy. Then I came home and did laundry for the first time all by myself......I feel so growned up!

Well I better go. Classes start tomorrow and its late.........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 240: Inspirational

So I thought I'd write really quick while I am on. Last night was way fun. A few of us went down to the Taste of Logan last night. It was way fun! It is just a night in Logan where a ton of stores on main street just open up there doors and you get to go around and meet new people and get free food and coupons and stuff! It was way fun! I actually went down with a couple girls from high school, Alessa Wade and Amanda Bell, as well as some connections kids, Melissa, Garrett and Katelyn, and our A-Team Member, Bryan! We had a pretty good time and we were all so tired that we were pretty wired, so it made it that much more fun!

Other than that I just had connections today. Today was our last class of this week. We have three follow up classes over the course of the next three weeks, but today was really cool. For our Connections class we had to read this book call Outcasts United and it is a book all about this incredible woman, Luma Mufleh, who started a soccer team with a bunch of refugee boys in Clarkston, Georgia. It really was a inspiring book and I am glad I read it and I would really recommend this book to anyone who loves being inspired to do some good in the world!

But today was really cool because for our last connections class of the week, we had Luma Mufleh come speak to us personally!!! It was so cool to learn all about her in this book, but it was really cool to learn about her while she spoke. I guess the book was not super accurate, however I really think that it is a great message and she really is such a hero in our world today.
In the book, Warren St. John really kind of makes her sound like superwoman, but seeing her today, it was really cool to see that she was just a regular person like the rest of us. She was sooooo nervous to talk in front of us all today and you could tell all she wanted to be doing was hanging out with her boys and playing soccer. It was just so cool to listen to her and hear her story. She was raised in a house hold of a Jordanian Millionaire and was so privileged all her life, however when she moved her for college and decided to stay, she was cut off from her family and learned how to make it on her own.

She started this whole soccer program because she happened to drive past a few refugee boys playing soccer in a parking lot one day. She then started the Fugees program and began teaching all these refugee boys soccer and how to become a team. Not only did she teach them soccer, but she tutored them as well. She has devoted her entire life to this program and it incredible to see what it has grown into. Right now, after starting on a gravel, glass covered field years ago, the Fugee Family program has just purchased 19 acres of land to build a school and a home field for the program! It is all truly amazing.

If you haven't heard, Kohl's is doing a voting right now for twenty schools all over the United States who, if they receive enough votes, can receive $500,000 dollars for their school and we decided today in connections that everyone would vote for their school because it would be an amazing help to all of them, so I challenge everyone to go online and vote. It will take like two seconds. All you have to do is go to http://www.fugeesfamily.org/ and follow the instructions and just search for Fugee Academy, Clarkston, Georgia!!!

Hearing her speak today was just so cool and it so great to be reminded that there are people like her out there in the world trying to make a difference. If want to know more about her and the Fugees, you can also find interviews all over the internet and on UPR. It is just so inspirational!

Well after connections today, Caitlin, Kaelyn and I went down to the church for Lunch with your Bishop. They just had the whole stake there so that you could go eat and meet your bishop and some people in your ward. It was really cool. I found out that the guy in the towel from the fire alarm the other morning is actually our next door neighbor and he seems like a hoot! I also met a few other guys that seemed really cool and I am excited to see what church is like tomorrow!

Well I better go cuz this entry is long enough..........TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 239: Catching Up

Ok so this post is going to be a little long, but I have to write about Wednesday and yesterday cuz they were just so much fun.

Ok so Wednesday Kaelyn and I headed down to that carnival, both, free food and games thing on Wed. night and it wasn't as exciting as we were hoping, but we got some free cremes and decided to go sit and the shade and eat them. Well while we were eating these two guys just come up and ask to sit by us and one of them was really cute. They were both really nice and were really good friends. They actually lived up in Oregon and both were RM's and since they left for missions right after high school, they are just freshmen too. They are both doing Civil Engineering and seemed like really nice guys and they were fun to talk to! Then while we were talking everyone started going into the Spectrum to go watch a volleyball scrimage, and we ended up sitting with them and talking until they had to go! It was freaking sweet!!!!!!!! I don't care that nothing happens, but it is the fact that cute boys just randomly come up and start taking to you is the most amazing thing ever!

Well late Kaelyn and I left and went home and had dinner, but then we later ended up picking up Caitlin and heading over to the dance they were having. Well the dance was BEYOND lame, so we decided that we were going to go play out on the quad at 10:30 at night!

Can you imagine playing around on that at 10:30 at night.....so fun! Well we were so hyper because we were so tired that we just ran around and had a good time. Then we saw that there was a group of people playing duck, duck, goose a little ways over, so we headed over and started playing with them. It actually turned out to be really fun. Then we got sick of duck, duck, goose and decided to play partner tag, which strangely, I have never played. Well there was this guy and we ended up partnering up and he was SUPER cute!!!!!!!! We actually talked for quite a while during the game and he was super nice. We both thought each other was a lot older than we were. He thought I was a soph. or jr. and I thought the same about him! He was just about my heighth, studying areo space engineering and lives in the towers, but out of everything I can remember, you know what I cant remember.......HIS NAME!!!!!!! I have met soooo many people this week that I am lucky I can barely remember my own. It totally bums me out that I cant remember either. But then we ended up leaving and went over to Nathan's (Caitlin's boyfriend) house and watched a movie. Actually we fell asleep during the movie, but it was still fun!!!!

Ok so there was Wednesday. As for yesterday, we went to connections and did a service project. 2 hours of cleaning up camp sites during the hottest part of the day......not what I would call super exciting, but it wasnt horrid. Then later that night, Lauren, Kari, Alessa and I went to the comedian/magician show last night and can I just say......it was HYSTERICAL!!!!!! He headlines in Vegas and he was a hoot! Then I went back to with Lauren to Kari's place where we chilled for a little while.

As for today nothing has really happened. I had connections today which was pretty good, and tonight we have the Taste of Logan. The Taste of Logan is where all these streets on Main open up there doors and you get free stuff!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!! Ok this is long enough so I better go............TOOTLES!!!!!!!!!!

Day 238: So Exhausted

K so last night was soooooo much fun and so today was long but also fun, but I am exhausted (due to last night and today) so I will write about it all tomorrow! As for now.......I'm heading to bed............TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 237: And So It Begins!

So today it officially began......college is now in session!!!!!!!!!! I have only started my USU Connections class, however, it is a class that counts for credits, so I can say school has begun, however not the way I thought it would.

So this morning I got up and was getting ready and everything was dandy! My roommates were up and getting ready and we had just the perfect amount of time left to finish up, make lunch, and walk down, however our perfect timing stopped very shortly when all of the sudden.........the FIRE ALARM went off!!!!!!!! We all just walked out of our rooms and looked at each other like are you freaking joking me?!?!?! So we all went down stairs and waited for further instruction. We had people all standing around that were completely ready, half ready, still and their Pjs, and my personal favorite......a boy standing in his towel. He had apparently been in the shower when the alarm went off and had no choice but to come out in a towel.......totally priceless!!!!! We finally got back in after being informed that pretty much our fire alarm is the most sensitive thing in the world. Apparently hair dryers and straighteners can set it off, along with hair spray and shower steam......ARE YOU JOKING ME?!?!?! We could be standing outside way too often if that is the case!

Well so we finally got back in and had to super get ready and our perfectly on time schedule turned into being 15 minutes late to class. Now there is the way to start off the school year! hahaha it kind of stunk, but at the same time it is a great story to tell in the future, and we were only all meeting in the concert hall so we really hadn't missed much.

Anyway so we got in there and had our little intro and sang the fight song and the Scotsman, which no body knew by the way, and just got ourselves started. Then after we walked to our classroom and got to know the people in our class and our teachers. It actually turned out to be A LOT better than I thought it would. I met some pretty cool people in my class and this really cute boy who is like the better, hotter, mormon version of a Jonas Brother ;D

But after we went to lunch, where I actually went and signed up for symphony auditions and walked campus for a little while and might I just add.......I LOVE IT!!!!! Campus is great and pretty easy to navigate if you can remember certain landmarks. Also I saw this super hot guy and might I just add.....he was no freshmen.....he was B-E-AUTIFUL!!!! I am soooooo ready for college to really start on monday!

Then later we all met back up and meshed with another class and just had questions answered and played a game of Jeopardy, where I got to sit next to the cute guy and surprisingly enough, he actually talked to me and had a good time!!! Now if this whole sitting next to cute guys who talk to me could just keep it up and then bump it up to a date.....I would be one happy little aggie girl!!!!! Can I just say I also like how people are so friendly....it isn't like high school at all! As soon as we all could talk we all just started introducing ourselves and finding stuff out about each other and everyone was really friendly and not judgmental at all....it was WONDERFUL! Even just random guys I would walk past on campus would just say hi.......it was AWESOME! I so do not feel like a loser. I thought it would be so hard to make friends and have people to talk to today, but it turned out much better than I had planned!

Well there is my 1st day of connections. Sorry it was so long, but there is just so much to tell! Well I better go....kaelyn and I are going to head down to the big connections carnival, dance, free food thing-a-ma-bob! I am hoping that turns out well........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 236: Last Day of Freedom

So today was another great day! I had my last day of freedom before classes started so I slept in and had a peaceful, relaxing morning. Later Kaelyn and I went down to the Taggart Student Center to sign into Connections, where we got a free shirt, which totally makes me happy cuz that means I don't have to buy one now!!!! Then later we walked down to the library so she could finish her paper and so I could explore a little more than yesterday. I ventured around all 4 floors and found it to be even more amazing then I thought! WOOT for the library.....it is totally going to be my study place!

Later we just came back and chilled for a little while and then my Dad, Mel, Matt and Kenna came up to see my apartment, drop off my car and take me out to dinner! It was great! We went to dinner at Angie's, which was really good, and had some good laughs!!!!! They also bought me up a photo board, so I can hang pictures and baked goods!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!! It was so great to have them up here for a little while! Thanks guys for coming up!

Well I better go. My connections class starts tomorrow, which means I actually have to get up earlier and go to class. Talk to ya later.............TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Monday, August 23, 2010

Day 235: The Library

Has had a rather productive day! I got up and got ready and figured out some stuff. Then I signed up for institute....which I am rather excited for! I loved seminary, so that means institute is going to be like ten times better!!!!!!!!!!! After that and having some lunch, I walked down to the music building to look at some stuff and then I walked over to the library and wrote my paper! Yeah......the library..........AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! It is 4 stories of awesomeness!!!!!!!

I've been in there before, but now that I am a student that means that I can now use it to my full advantage! They have, what is called The Barn, at least I think that is what it is called, but The Barn is the coolest thing ever. It is this big giant computer that gets you any book you need. To my understanding you just have to put in the book number and then the big computer arm thing goes and finds it and gets it for you. At least that is my understanding. I havent tested it out yet, but I will!!!!

But it was soooooo nice and soooooo quite and sooooooo wonderful! I loved it! I only ventured through the first floor though, but I will get around to it!!!!!! I am thinking, like dad suggested, that I need to do all my studying not at home and I think the library is the PERFECT place!!!!!

Anyway that was my great adventure for the day and not much else to report on. Our neighbors across the hall came over and brought us little brownies and said hi and invited us over to a movie in their apartment tonight, so I am thinking I may go, but anyway, that is about it. I better go...........TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Day 234: Jeff's Ordination

So today has been a pretty good day. I spent my first night in my apartment, which was needless to say......interesting. It was so hot in our apartment last night that I slept with the window open, a fan on and no covers on at all. I finally put a blanket half way on me at about 6am this morning hahaha. It is all quite interesting, however it has been raining all afternoon and it is actually really cool now, so tonight will be much better!

But anyway I got up and got ready and then headed back down to West Jordan for Jeff's ordination today. I know it seems kind of pointless to move in one day and go back the next, but since mom starts school tomorrow, I had to move up yesterday. But Jeff's ordination was really fun. I always love going to ordinations because they are always such good reminders of how awesome and powerful the priesthood is! I really don't know where I would be without the priesthood in my life. It is such a blessing and I am sooooo thankful to my dad, brothers, uncles, grandpas and friends who use it correctly!

But anyway, we had both sides of the family there and just had a good time together. I LOVE how even if my family has differences with each other, it didnt show! I love that about my family!!! But so Jeff was ordained and then we just went back home and had dinner, opened presents and ate cake and ice cream! It was so nice to just sit and talk with my family and visit with them for a little while.

After that I grabbed a few more things from home and drove back up with dad to his house. Jeff gets the explorer now, and I just am waiting for my car to be licensed, so dad drove be back up here tonight. What an AWESOME dad!!!!! It was nice kinda to get a little while to talk to him. We just talked about school for a little while and he gave me some pointers and hints that will probably make school a lot easier and better to enjoy! My daddy is the coolest!

Well now I am just sitting here watch Harry Potter and blogging. I think I am going to go sew on some of my binding to my quilt, since I am still not finished with that! Well I am heading out........TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Saturday, August 21, 2010

Day 233: Home Sweet......Logan

Oh my holy chicken.........I have finally arrived!

Wow it is sooooooo crazy to be here!!!!! I am freaking out here a little, but I personally think that a little freaking out should be a loud ;D I really cant believe I am up here! I have waited soooooo long to be here and..........HERE I AM!!!!!!!! I really just can't believe it. I am officially a college freshmen. I would post pictures, but I forgot my memory card reader, but you will get pictures eventually.

The apartment isnt what I was expecting, but I think it will be great! There are three of us here already and the other three are coming up this coming week. As usual, I have a purple room! My bed stuff is all purple, my towels are all purple, some of my bathroom stuff is purple and I am just feeling the great purple-ness coming out! Luckily, my bedroom is bigger than I thought it would be! It is actually really nice. I really thought I had over packed, but everything fits in nicely and part of me, looking at my other two roommates, feels like I under packed hahaha.

But since I am now officially starting college I would like to write down some college goals for my 2010-2011 Freshmen year at Utah State University, Home of the Aggies!

Goals:
1. Learn and grow physically, mentally, spiritually and socially as much as possible
2. Meet new people and make new friends
3. Have as much fun as possible
4. Clean the sink at Angie's
5. Become a True Aggie
6. Keep my grades above a 3.7GPA
7. Date......A lot ;D
8. Get involved in new things
9. Step out of my comfort zone
10. Have fun living the college life

Yup I think those are some pretty good goals for this year! Well I don't have much else to report on today. I am super exhausted. I never really realized how much energy moving takes out of you. Well I better go and I will keep you updated over the next couple weeks about my first weeks in college...........TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 232: My Last

So today was my last day in living in West Jordan. i have total mixed feelings about it all too. I am super excited to go, yet I like my cute little house and family and friends and don't want to leave, but I am still excited to venture out on my own.

Today was actually quite a fabulous day!
I...........
-Came home from having a sleepover with my young women where we watched Valentines Day, Pirates and New Moon, as well as roasted marshmallows, played apples to apples and just had a great time.....THANKS GIRLS!!!
-Finished my book for connection
-Packed up everything (that was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be)
-Went to Jeff's first football game of the season! He is playing JV and dressing Varsity, so me, mom and dad went to support him tonight! We played Granger and if I remember correctly, the final score was 38 - 27 (or something close to that) Jaguars WIN!!!!!! It was a GREAT game to watch! The Refs were awful, but it was still a totally fun game to watch and be at!!!!!! It just got me that much more excited for Aggie Ball!!!!!!!

Well not much else to report on. I am going to go hang out with Kathryn for the rest of the night before I head in the morning! AHHHHHH.........I CANT BELIEVE I LEAVE IN LESS THAN 12 HOURS!!!!!!!!!! I am flipping out! Well I better go.................TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Day 231: Date Night

Okay so I now have a minute to talk about Tuesday's date so here it goes!

First of all, here was everyone that was in our little group! I am so glad it was us 4! We are all best friends and it was a blast!!!

Alex!
Reg!
Me!
Kathryn!

Alrighty so Kathryn and I went and picked up Alex and Reg and headed down town to begin our date. Our plan was to go eat dinner (we had brought a picnic) down in Memory Grove then head up to Ensign Peak and hike up. Well there was a bike race at the Capitol and there wasn't any parking so instead we just ate dinner at the park in front of the trail head. We had a great dinner! It was just sandwiches and chips, but we just sat and talked for about an hour and just caught up and had a few good laughs!

After dinner we headed up to the trail head and began our adventurous hike for the evening, which was actually pretty fun. Now I want everyone to take note, that me, Kristen Anti-hiking Steiner, hiked that hike two days in a row......of my own free will! Never forget that cuz that will never happen again hahaha! But we finally got to the top right as the sun was setting behind the mountains! It was soooooooo pretty. I was going to take pics, but I forgot my camera so you will just have to imagine it all! But the sun was setting and the sky was bright pink and orange and it was reflecting of the Great Salt Lake and oh my goodness it was pretty!
Well after we had reached the top, we just kind of sat our butts down on the rocks and watched the sun set on the valley and watch the entire valley light up!!!!!!!!!!

I have never seen that before and it was something I will never forget! Watching all 4 temples light up was gorgeous!!!! It really was super romantic, but boys are daft, so nothing happened there ;D On top of watching this beautiful scene, again we just sat and talked which was wonderful! It was so good to joke around and hear everyone's plans and just chit chat! It was awesome!!!!

Well after we had sat up there for about and hour and a half we went back down the mountain and decided to go walk around Memory Grove now that there was parking! Even in the dark that place is super pretty! After we visited Memory Grove we decided to go find gravity hill, which didn't go over as well as we had hoped, but got some good laughs out of trying to find it and scared our self silly, which made it that much more fun!

Finally after all of this we came back to my house and watched a movie! We watched When A Stranger Calls, which I have seen several times, yet it still terrifies me! Again might I restate that boys are daft, but that is ok cuz I still had a fabulous night!!!!

Then after the movie I took Reg home and we hugged.....forever!!!!! We just told each other how much we would miss each other and we talked for a minute and it was wonderful! It really was a fabulous date, even though what I wanted to happen didn't happen ;D I really am going to miss Reg now that he isn't just down the street. He is such a great guy. He was on the date, and has always been, a perfect gentleman and he always treats me with such respect! He is so amazing and I really didn't realize how close we were and how much I was going to miss him until after I hung up with him on the phone today. I called him before he left for school today and we talked for a little while and I just am really going to miss that red headed kid! He has always been there for me and been one of my best guy friends for a long time! Luckily I know that we will keep in touch! We have already planned him coming up for football games and me coming down if USU ever plays at the Y. I'm writing him on his mission and we are still going to do stuff on school breaks and stuff! I know we are going to be friends for a long time, it is just going to be weird not to have him right there!

Well I hope that post was long enough for everyone hahaha! Well I better go cuz i've got to get stuff ready for a sleepover with my yw.........TOOTLES!!!

Day 230: Fast....Again

So hey! I was going to write about my awesome date last night, but yet again I am in a hurry today. I just got home from getting my hair cut and colored and Kenzie is on her way to come get me so we can party tonight! Tomorrow I will have a details on the past two days.......TOOTLES!!!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Day 229: Quick

I've got to be quick today cuz I have a few things I have to do still today and then I've got to get ready for my date!!!!!! So excited! Reg and I are doubling with Kathryn and Alex! It is our last hoo-ra before we all leave here in the next week! Super excited! Well I better go, but I will report on how it goes tomorrow........TOOTLES!!!!

Monday, August 16, 2010

Day 228: My "Little" Brother

I feel rather productive today! I was able to get a lot done today! The other cool part about today is that today is Jeff's 16th Birthday.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF!!!!!!! He is now also an official licensed driver, so everyone on the road.......Watch out ;D

These are a couple of my favorite Jeff pictures, so I thought I would put it on so you could all see cute he was as little Jeff!
Hahahaha he use to be sooooo little, but that really isn't the case anymore. I have now started to refer to him as my younger brother instead of my little brother, because he isn't so little anymore standing at 6'3" and weighing 170lbs of muscle.

Oh but how I love my "little" brother! We have always been pretty close even if we disagree.
These are pics that are a 1-2 years old but they are some of my favorite, so I thought I would put them on!
He is such a goof! It is going to be really weird not living with him in the next room. We have some great memories together. Some of my favorite memories are:
-Building forts
-Playing Barbies (hahaha he will never admit it now, but yes, he use to beg me to play barbies)
-Having sleepovers in my room when we were little
-Going grocery shopping.....without mom
There really are so many more memories, but I do not have near enough time to write them all down! I love my little brother too death and I hope that he has a wonderful 16th birthday!!!!!!! LOVE YOU JEFF!!!!!!!!

Day 227: Bitter Sweet

So today has been a totally bitter sweet day. I got to go out to my dad's for a little while to celebrate his and Jeff's birthday. I got to spend time with the fam and play with my little cousins and we just had a good time.

But on another note today, today was my last day in young womens at church today :( It is really really sad, but I could not have asked for a better last sunday! I got my Personal Progress Medallion, April and I sung in church, Melissa taught a fabulous sunday school lesson;D, Heather taught a wonderful yws lesson, and I got to hear how much my girls love me! That totally made my day! After the lesson, I got a rose from each of my girls and each told me one thing they would miss or loved about me. Needless to say I cried like a baby, but it was just what I needed to hear today! My girls are so amazing! It kills me that I have to leave such wonderful girls and that I wont get to see them every week, carpool with them in the morning, go to camp, talk about all our deep dark secrets and many other things! Oh my goodness how I am going to miss all of them! I didn't realize it was going to be as hard as it was today, but it just killed me. I really cant even begin to say how much those girlies have taught me over the years! They have influenced me in ways I cant even explain and they are just like sisters to me! Oh how I love all you girls and oh how I am going to miss your beautiful spirits and wonderful smiles!!!!!!

It is so hard to say goodbye and that is one reason I am not looking forward to this week at all. I am no good with goodbyes at all.....I DISLIKE them with a passion. Although, to have a glass half full moment, I know that this week, even as stinkish as it is going to be, means that I have a whole lot of new, exciting things coming, which is good, but it does not make this week any easier. But I will worry about it as it comes, I guess! Again, thank you girlies for making my last yws amazing! I love you guys!!!!!

Well I better go............TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 226: Today

Today has been pretty good! I practiced with April today for our musical number tomorrow, which hopefully, will go pretty good! I also went and worked on the great granny's today for a little while and I now own a few more clutches plus some kitchen ware......freaking fantastic!!!!! Other than that, nothing much has been going on. I am going to go hang out with Kathryn and then we are going to probably go see a movie with a certain tall red head and a few of his friends.......sounds like a good day to me! Better go..........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 225: Bad Luck.......Really?

Ok so yes it is Friday the 13th, but today was pretty good! Here is all the "bad" luck that Friday the 13th brought:

-The whole car situation was figured out!!!!!!!!!!!!
-I cleaned my half of the house in record time
-I got some school stuff taken care of without any problems......Luckily
-April and I had some problems figuring out our special musical number for Sunday, HOWEVER, we figured out a solution and I think it will work much better
-I got to go to Jeff's game where I was able to watch him play (I wasn't sure I was going to get to see him play this season)
-We closed Joseph tonight with an amazing show

Yup......that sounds like a pretty successful, not full of bad luck day!!!!!!! Well I am off........TOOTLES!!!!!!!!

Well not much else to report on today so I better go cuz I've got another show tonight. Tomorrow is our last show, so I am hoping that tonight and tomorrow go well.........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 223: My Last

So today I had a great day! I spent the night at my grandma's so this morning I hung out with her and my grandpa where we got in a goo game of hand and foot, we went and got lunch and I did a little shopping with my grandma! It was great! I love spending time out there and I am so glad I got to spend time out there before I move here in a week and a half.

The other part of today was really fun too! Tonight for young womens we went to Memory Grove where Chelsea taught us about a couple of the war monuments that are up there. It was really cool to see the monuments. I had been up there before, but I had never looked at them all, so it was really cool to see all them. After we looked at the monuments we just kinda chilled for a little while and talked! It was good to talk to everyone for a little while. I am glad I could have Chelsea, Baylee, Heather, Anna, Lisa, Aubrey and her little boy Calvin all there tonight for my last young womens :(

That is right.....tonight was my last young womens, how sad is that?!?!?! I cant go next week so tonight was my last and it is bumming me out, but I must admit, it was a great last young womens and I wouldn't have had it any other way! It is going to be so weird not going to young womens just because that is all I have done for the past 6 years of my life. My Wednesdays are now going to be open........weird! It is really depressing, but I know that what I have ahead of me will be good, but it is still sad! Thanks ladies for making my last one a great one! I love you guys!

Well I am pretty tired so I am going to head to bed.........TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 222: Heading to Grandma's

Hey that is cool......I've blogged for 222 days! Not much to report on today. I am heading out to my Grandma Steiner's to spend the night, so I can spend some time with her and my grandpa before school starts! I love going out to my Grandma Steiner's. We always have a good time whenever I go out there. I always look forward to our traditional game of hand and foot.....mostly because I cant play pinnacle yet because it is the hardest game I have ever tried to learn haha! But that is about it! Well I better go............TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 221: Both Sides of Everything

Not much went on today, which is kinda a good thing! I finally got the computer software and office software added onto my computer, which luckily didn't take too long. I am now working on blue tooth-ing all my pictures and itunes over, which, unluckily, is and will probably take forever. Other than that today has been pretty chill. I have to perform for Joseph tonight again. I am really glad that we only have two more shows after tonight, although on the other hand it is still sad that it is almost over.

The other thing that was really weird today was taking Jeff to football and seeing everyone for registration. It was really weird because for the past three years, that is what I have been doing. On one hand, for a few reasons, it really bums me out. On the other had it really makes me super excited cuz that means I am going to college!!!!! Well I better go..........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 219: New Toy

So today has been a great day! So for quite some time we have been looking at trying to find a laptop for school that was a good price and had all the stuff I needed on it.....well guess what we found today?!?!?!?! That is right......meet the newest edition to the family!!!!!

Oh she is so beautiful and we got her for a GREAT price!!!!! She is a refurbished computer, so instead of the $1098 that it would have originally been at....we got her for a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better deal!!!!!!! We got her at the Simply Mac store over in Fort Union and can I just say that store is a great store! The guys are super nice, the stuff is all at a great deal and it is close! I've still got to upload all the stuff on her and get it all ready to go, so I haven't used it yet, but I am super excited to get to that point! YAY for refurb items!!!!!!

Also today I logged onto facebook and had a friend request from a friend I haven't talked too since the 5th grade! See....facebook is magical! But I seriously haven't talked to him since he moved to Colorado after 5th grade. He was actually one of the guys that helped sprain my ankle when I sprained it playing football at recess all those years ago hahaha!

Well not much else to report on! I've got another show tonight and even though last night's show wasnt horrid, I hope tonight goes better than last night. Well I better go........TOOTLES!!!

Day 218: Shopping and Show

So today I start the school clothes shopping adventure. I didn't find much today but I got a few new undershirts, a really cute yellow v-neck t-shirt and a black pencil skirt (a closet essential) for on 8 dollars!!!!!!! I am feeling good about that! Monday I will do some more. We attempt pants on Monday....I saved that for Monday, so I could prep myself haha! I also found these really cute shoes at Lane Bryant that I need to go back and get too!

Besides that, we had opening night for Joseph tonight and sadly our dress rehearsal last night went much better. Our pianist forgot very important key signature changes and our conductor wasn't watching his score for one part and we got totally screwed up, but oh well.....just another night in the theater. We have another show tomorrow night and I think it will go LOADS better than tonight!

Well I am going to head.........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 217: Shopping Mood

Not much to report on today. Me and mom went shopping and found her some pants, and tomorrow we are going to go shopping some more so we can find her some shirts and me some clothes too. I love shopping! I don't go very often and there are times that I hate shopping, but as of lately I have been in a shopping mood! Well I've got to go. I've got an official dress rehearsal tonight for the show..........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 216: Binding

Oh. my. holy. Binding! So today I started hand sewing on the binding to my quilt and holy chicken.......it is going to take a lot longer than I thought it was going to. I knew it would take a while, however it took me 4-5 hours just to do one of the longer sides of the quilt. Cow murder. Luckily, I don't have much to do and I have 7 seasons of Friends that I can sit and watch while I do it, so no biggy! Well I better go, I've got rehearsal tonight for Joseph. It is our last rehearsal before dress rehearsal, so I am sure that tonight will be a long rehearsal. Well I better go.......TOOTLES!!!!!!

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Day 215: Not Much

Well I don't have much to say today, but I will say I love peppermint ice cream! Mom found it at smith's.......In the middle of the SUMMER!!!!! That never happens! Well that is all I have to say today........TOOTLES!!!!

Monday, August 2, 2010

Day 214: In A Hurry

I've got to hurry tonight cuz I have rehearsal at 6 and I still have to finish a few things up. Not much going on today. I spent my day figuring out some school stuff and sewing my quilt! I am almost done with my quilt. I only have the binding left to do, so hopefully I should have 5 or so hours left on it! WOOT WOOT! Well I better go.........TOOTLES!!!

Day 213: Self TIme

Have you ever had one of those days where you just want some self time?!?! Well, that was kinda my day today. I am in a good mood and everything is good, however I just wanted some self time today! I remember when I was little, my self time was none other than playing with barbies! Barbies were my favorite when I was little! No toy beat Barbie. I would just head up into my room, turn on my radio and play with my barbies. I LOVED self time!

Well now I am just a little to old to go up and play with my Barbies, so now my self time usually consists of two of my favorite things now........Sewing and Friends!

My sewing machine!
Some of my sewing stuff in my sewing box!

Friends Seasons!

Usually when I am wanting some self time I just head to the basement, stick in a season of Friends on the computer and work on whatever I am sewing at the time! Right now it is a quilt and I am soooo close to being done! Oh how I love self time!!!!!!!!
