Day 120: I Day, Got To Hurry

Tonight is I day and the institute. I have enough time to blog really quick, brush my teeth and motor. I have spent all day after school decorating, so I dont have much time!!!! I think tonight will be super fun! I hope all our planning goes well and everyone enjoys everything....I will report tomorrow how it goes......TOOTLES!!!!

Day 119: Really?

So today was region orchestra festival and we were all feeling pretty confident that we would do pretty good. We weren't expecting straight ones, but we were expecting at least pretty good scores. Well apparently these judges were not very willing to give out any good scores. There were 8 groups I believe that performed and Bingham symphonic orchestra is the only one going to state festival and they only had scores of a I, I-, and I-. They were the only ones who received ones. We were the next high scoring group and we received straight twos.........STRAIGHT TWOS...... that is ridiculous. I know we did not deserve straight ones, but straight twos......really? Oh well......I guess when we listen to the tapes tomorrow we will see what the judges didn't like. On the plus side, we did not receive and threes like a few of the other schools did and also we don't have to worry about performing at state now.......well I am exhausted and tomorrow is "I" day for the institute, so I have a long day tomorrow, so I am going to hit the hay.........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 118: What A Day

Today has been.......interesting to say the least. I started out with early morning rehearsal which was actually pretty good. We had it today cause region festival is tomorrow. Other than that, not much went on except for that fact that the cute boy that I like who, yes Mel, is the boy in my 4th period, found out I liked him......oh yeah.....welcome to my day. I am not mad he found out, just freaking out a little inside and hoping nothing is weird, but it didn't seem to be too weird that last few 15 minutes of 4th that I was there for, but I guess we will see come Friday, since I don't see him tomorrow.
Well besides that I just had work today and I started my essay for English, which I should be finishing right now, but I am taking a break cause this essay is kicking my butt. I have been looking at my essay for too long and my brain, writing juices are not flowing at all, so I am taking 5, then I will go continue to work on it.
Well I am going to go finish my break..........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 117: One of Those Days

Hello everyone! Not much to report on today! Today was just one of those kinda of days....ya know one of those days where you keep hitting th snooze and get up a half hour late. One of those days where you put on 5 different shirts and you end up just wearing an old t shirt. One of those days where everyone is tired and just wants to go home. One of those days where you don't want to do anything..........yup one of those days. Don't get me wrong, its been a good day and I am happy...it just been one of those days. Not much else going on either today. Just homework and watching Glee. That is about it. Oh and cute boy said hi to me....sweet chicken that kinda made my day....WOOT WOOT!!!! Well I am off to watch Glee.........TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 116: Today

Today has been pretty good! Not much has gone on. I went to school, suffered through english, watch shandy kick some prom royalty butt in her skit today (You did great shand!!!!!), filled out stuff in orchestra and attempted to flirt with the cute kid in my 4th......yup that about sums up my day today!!!!
Besides that, I also cleaned my room. I am not messy, but something happened over the past couple weeks.......I got messy! My room was a disaster so I cleaned all that up today.
After that I headed back to school because tonight was the Pathways Presentation Night. All I did was stand around for an hour and show my dress, board and portfolio to parents, important people etc. It wasn't overly exciting, but hey I got it done and I don't have to worry about it anymore!
Nothing else going on today.....one thing I did learn today though......I cant really flirt. It doesnt work so well, I am slightly.....what's the word.......sad! oh well I guess we'll see how that goes here in the next while. Well I am out.........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 115: The Last One

Today was my last Utah Youth Concert...........sadness!!! Tonight we played at Abravanel Hall and UYSO played Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony and it was pretty darn good. Yesterday's rehearsal must have been concert syndrome......it where your rehearsal before your concert is suck-o.....and that must have been exactly what yesterday was, cuz tonight's concert was pretty darn awesome!!!! It feels so good to play on that stage and I love to play on. Now I am afraid that I wont get to play on it again for a really long time......I cant even tell you how sad that makes me. I am happy that it is my last concert just because this season wasnt as good as lasts, but I am really sad it is over because it means it's OVER! No more Utah Youth.....I am done...finished....complete.
This concert was pretty rockin' tonight though and I had a fun time playing in it. It has been really fun to work with Barb the past couple years and meet some pretty amazing people! This season has been pretty good and I cant wait to see what the future holds for me in the way of up coming symphonies. I pray and hope that I can make it into the USU symphony......if not I might just loose my mind, but for now, I will bask in the fact that tonight was a great concert and that I have so much more to look forward to........TOOTLES!!!

Day 114: Dirty Dancing

What a day.....its been......strange. I started out with a crap-ola rehearsal this morning which is bad cuz our final concert is tomorrow. Then after that I headed to state solo and ensemble which was not so good. I mean it was good, but my performance was B-A-D! Um......yeah I had to start over because I just completely shut down and then I pretty much forgot the last line. By some miracle, so great act of God, I got a I-, which is amazing. A I is the highest you can get, so I have no idea how I got a I-. I am amazingly happy about getting a I-, but extremely disappointed in my self performance today........I dont think I have ever performed like that and I can tell you one thing.......I never will again......NO BUENO!!!! On the plus side, I learned what to never do again.
Besides that I just went to my grandma's for a little while and now I am just sitting and watching Dirty Dancing. I have never seen it before, I love 80's movies and it is the only thing on tv so I figured....why not! I really like it so far, but I am a fan of the fun 80's movies!!!!

Day 113: Best Friend

Today = Good day!!!! Not much at school went on, however I did learn that on my FIRST Ap theory practice exam.......I SCORED A 3!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!! But other than that.....not much to report on.
Tonight I went to my 1st Young Single Adult activity, which was highly entertaining only cuz I was with my bestest friend in the whole wide world......Kathryn! She is one of the YSA reps so she has been trying to get me to go, but I havent been able to until tonight, so i went tonight! We did a service project and cleaned the church.....which was actually pretty fun, and then we had pizza!
Well afterwards Kat and I hung out and just had a good time and laughed! I forgot how much we are a like! We havent seen each other for quite some time, but once we started talking, we realized we have been thinking the same things! It is so funny how close we are and I love it! We went to Barnes and Noble and walked around, then we went and paced the block (our favorite past time) then we sat on my lawn. It was just another Kristen and Kathryn night, but it was soooooo much fun and exactly what I needed! Tonight we pretty much planned out the rest of our lives and had way too much fun doing it! I have not laughed that hard in a long time! She is the greatest ever and I am so glad I have someone like her to keep me in my place!
Well I have got to go finish memorizing my Bach piece for state solo and ensemble tomorrow......TOOTLES!!!!

Day 112: Just Another Day

So again.....nothing much went on today! English was a disaster as usual, anatomy was again great.....we had a review game and we recruited the cute boy to be in our group and he came willingly and helped us earn extra credit too!!! GO CUTE BOY!!!! In orchestra we worked in our Bach groups cuz we have festival in a week and we aren't quite ready. Then in 4th I talked to the cute boy some more and messed around with the other TA in that class. Man, it is a bummer that I can only look at the cute boy....he is just there and sooooo cute, but just not.....reachable, yes reachable that is a good word to use! Oh well I will just keep my flirt on hahahaha!!!!!
Well besides that I also got to go to the chiropractor today......PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! I haven't been since around October and it feels sooooo good to be all straight and aligned again!!!!!
Well nothing much going on today. I am going to go watch the season finale of Project Runway then I'll go and finish memorizing my Bach piece for state solo and ensemble on saturday..........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 111: Oh Wednesday

Hey it day 111......that is kinda cool .....hahaha! Well not much to write today! I had a good day at school. I got part of my quilt done, I learned how to actually take an AP Theory test and I did the most pointless english homework ever known to man kind!
On top of that, tonight for young womens we had an etiquette dinner that the young men prepared for us and it was fabulous! The food and the company was great and I had a really good time! It is kinda fun to do those things every once and a while!
Well not much else to report, I just got done with homework so I am going to head off to bed to dream of ..........I dont know....something! Well I am off.........TOOTLES!!!JU

Day 110: Blood Pressure

So today has been a most excellent day!!!!! English was rough to get through this morning because my teacher is .......well.......words that shouldnt be said, however then anatomy occured!!!! So today in anatomy we learned how to take our blood pressure, like with the stethascope and the thing they wrap around your arm at the doctors office. it was pretty sweet, but that wasnt even the sweet part.....the rather cute guy in my anatomy class asked if he could be in my group today!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! That really was just icing on top of the cake today! The funnier part is that when he took my blood pressure, the thing started to tighten but the needle wasnt moving, so the cute boy kept pumping the thing....well it got to the point where i couldnt feel my fingers, so we are sitting there laughing hysterically and then on top of that he couldnt loosen the little thing to let the air out. well when we finally got the thing loose, he realized that the reason it wasnt working right was because my finger was bending the tube, so it wouldnt let the air into the needle pressure thing........yeah slightly embarrasing, but totally worth it! On top of that, he has slightly amazing arms and since we were taking blood pressure i got to see some serious biceps!!!!!!!
Yes I am sad and pathetic but that was totally the high light of my day, so I just thought I should share hahahaha!!!!!!
On top of that we had another I - day meeting today and filmed our commercial....so high school kids, be expecting that here in the next week......its going to rock....and just remember....dont judge me lol!
Also Glee is on tonight.......WOOT WOOT!!! It is an entire Glee deboted to Madonna.....how awesome is that?!?!?!?!?! I love Madonna!!!! Well I am going to go watch me some Glee.......TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 109: Practice Test

Hello everybody.....nothing to report today! I just had rehearsal, school, and homework....really exciting, I know! Nothing really went on today. Everyone was tired at school today, oh and I took my 1st practice test for AP theory today and it was scary! It left my head hurting.....how crazy is that! I didnt know what to expect and it was frightening. I felt like I was back to the first week of Theory where I had no idea what was going on...but hey I guess that is why we do practice tests. And it is also why I have two inches of packets sitting on my table.......its all practice so I can kick butt at this test! Well not much else to say, so I am going to go watch me so Dancing with the Stars........TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Day 108: Home

I am finally home and happy as can be!!!! This trip was the greatest ever! I had so much fun! The people, the places, the jokes, the activities........so much fun!!!!!! San Fran is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.....especially at night with city all lit up on the water and everything!!!!! I loved it, but I am also extremely glad to be home. It is a little sad cuz that was my last tour, but I know I have many more adventures to come!!! Well I am going to go catch up on some homework and probably take a nap and just chill.......TOOTLES!!!!

Day 101: Blah

So not much went on today! I went to church, learned some church things, ate lunch, did homework, ate dinner and did homework.......yeah it is an action packed day for me! I dont have much to say tonight. I am way excited however because I leave for San Francisco on wednesday.....WOOT WOOT!!!! On the down side to that....I have WAY too much I have to get done before I leave. I am thinking will get very little sleep this week, but that is ok! Day 99: Good Week

I had a good day today....this week has just been good! Well I am off to hang with my bestest bud, kathryn, so I figured I would blog really quick cuz I dont know when I will be home! I think we are going to go on our traditional jamba juice run and then we will figure something out to do that is fun and exciting......although with us, we can make anything fun!!! Well I think am I going to go chill for a while........TOOTLES!!!!!

Day 98: Men's Volleyball

So today I went to school and had a pretty good day!!! Then after school I went to another "I" day committee meeting then I came home and waited for my friend kenzie to call so we could go on our great adventure for today............WJHS boy's volleyball game!
One of my best friends, Reg, is on the varsity volleyball team, and I have been promising him since sophomore year that I would go to a game......well today I finally went!!!! I went with my friend, Kenzie, which was really fun becuase we dont get to hang out, just the two of us, very often so it was nice to hang out for a couple hours.
Well the game was up at Bonneville Jr. High and of course, we got lost getting up there, but luckily we were only ten minutes late to the game and they do two games, so we didnt miss much!
I'll I have to say about it is......where has mens volleyball been all my life?!?!?!?!? I mean its not like football or basketball. There were about twenty people there in the audience and I would bet that kenzie and I are the first two kids from the student body who have ever showed up to a game. I mean its not like the most popular boys play on the team, but all the boys that play on the team are all very fit! I rather enjoyed myself that is all I have to say! An hour and a half of watching Reg Beales and Josh Woodruff play an active sport..........I have NO complaints.........NO complaints at all ;D I didnt think volleyball was so manly, but now........I fully believe it is a manly sport!!! ;D Well I am exhausted so I am going to go have sweet dreams of manly volleyball players ;D.............TOOTLES!!!!!!

Day 97: Crime Shows

So I went to school today and came home and did homework. Its been a good day!!!
Well since we didnt have young womens tonight, which was a bummer, I sat down and watched some tv. Well since I am never home on wednesdays, I didnt know what was on, so I turned on America's Next Top Model and then Criminal Minds......I love that show!!!! I have always watched like CSI, Numbers, Bones, and NCIS, which are great shows, but I never watch criminal minds cuz I am never home to watch it, but I am watching it right now and I forgot how great it was. It is one of the more..........violent shows i guess you could say, but I really like it. Criminal Minds works a lot with serial killers and how they work, which as strange as it sounds, is slightly fascinating to me. That whole concept of how the human mind works in that way is just strangly interesting to me. I mean if you really think about, serial killers are rather genius......evil, but genius and I really just wonder how someone smart like that turns out so......twisted. I dont know....the whole thing is just.....fascinating.
hahaha just dont judge me after that little entry and know that I wont turn into one and I will 99.9% most likely never study it either because I just dont have the mental and emotional capacity to deal with it all, but I do find it interesting, but as for now I will just watch my crime shows and try and figure out who the killer is before the end of the episode! Well I am going to hit the hay......TOOTLES!

Day 96: 7th Chords

I would just like to state that dominant 7th chords suck!!!! They are hard to understand and I am not a fan. I am sure they stink because I missed the day in AP theory that we learned them, but they still stink. There is the dominant 7th chord in a major scale, but wait.....they are also used in the 3 versions of minor scales...harmonic, natural and melodic minor. They just dont make much since. And I kinda understand the diminished form, but not the other ones......IT JUST LAME!
I have become slightly frustrated because up to this point, I have understood everything else in theory, but this......AHHHHH! I understand 4 voice writing, major and minor triads, modes, chords, transposition, intervals, roman numeral analysis, figure base and so much more, but I dont understand 7th chords and when they are diminished and not diminished and their figure base symbols and what scales work with them and how to write their roman numeral analysis......IT SO FRUSTRATING!
The AP test is in one month........ONE MONTH, and we get all of our review packets, which from my understanding consists of like two tree fulls of packets, tomorrow. I am so close and everything makes sense, but this! I have to get this down because it will be on part of the test that I have to pass in order to pass the test because my sight singing abilities and ear training skills are not so great. I am slightly freaking out and I am sure it is because I am tired and frustrated, so I will leave at that for tonight and head off to bed so I can be sure to have my head on straight and in a good place for theory tomorrow! Day 95: Last Day

So today was the last day of spring break and guess how I spent it..........doing homework......how sucky is that?!?!?! I got home from dad's this morning around 9ish, got in the shower, then did homework until almost 2. Then I ran to the mall really quick with mom and then came home and did more homework......What. A. Bummer! That was not exactly how I planned to spend my last day, but in all honestly I didnt know how I was spending any day of my spring break. Spring break this year was kinda, over all, lame. I just chilled out at my dad's which was fun actually. We had a pretty good time chilling this weekend and I havent laughed as hard as I did in a long time! On the plus side though, this week is only a four day week....WOOT WOOT!!!!! And on top of that....I LEAVE FOR ORCHESTRA TOUR NEXT WEDNESDAY!!!! I am so excited. So i have a four day week then a three day week.....that is FANTASTIC!!!!
Well not much else to report on so I think I am going to go watch Dancing with the Stars. Well to keep you updated I'll say more thing....Shannen Doherty got voted off last week. Ok that is all......now I am going to go watch DWTS........TOOTLES!!!!

Day 94: Sunday

Today has been pretty awesome!!! I started my day out by watching conference which was good of course! Both sessions today were actually pretty good. It is awesome to see how when there is no assigned subjects for conference, there seems to be a running theme. I thought for this conference sessions, to me at least, it seemed that the running theme was family! It is an excellent topic of course, and there were a lot of things that were said that was just what I needed to hear about a lot of things, but family inparticular. It is amazing how the Lord works.....that is all I am going to say.
As for the rest of the day, me and matt and ken, my step siblings, were on the slight side of hyper today. After conference we all went a little loopy, which was highly entertaining. Then after dinner, which was a hoot all in itself, we decided a nice stroll around the block was a good idea and then we came home and watch The Blind Side!!!! What an amazing show!!!! The cast was great and the show over all was just awesome!!! I dont even know what else to say other than it was amazing!!!!
Well it is late and I am tired so I am headed off to bed.......TOOTLES

Day 93: Day Recapped

Day 92: Daddy Daughter Dinner

I have pretty much wasted away my day today. I woke up, cleaned the house, watched tv, and headed out to my dad's house. That is one exciting day I tell ya! Not much has gone on. My dad took me out to dinner tonight....which was fun. We went out for chinese which was really good. I am one lucky girl. Two parent date nights in row.........fun stuff!!!!! It was good to spend a couple hours and talk to my dad for a little while. I never seen him and when I see him, I never get to spend time with him alone, so it was nice to do that for a change. Well I am exhausted so I am going to head off to bed.......TOOTLES!!!!!!!

Day 91: Movie Night

So tonight me and my mama went out to dinner and movie which was super fun!!!! She surprised me by asking if we wanted to go to a movie tonight......and then we got home and she said lets go get dinner than we'll head to a movie! We never go out anymore because it is so expensive so it was fun to go out and spend some time together.
But we went out to did at Santa Monica's Pasta and Pizza which was really really good, but I was craving root beer so bad that I drank so much before dinner, I wasnt able to eat much of my pasta, but ya know what that means..........I have lunch for tomorrow!!!!
After dinner we headed to the movie! We saw Clash of the Titans which was pretty good!!!!!
I usually dont see types of movies like that in the theaters, but I was glad I did! It was a little cheesy, but we are talking greek mythology here.......of course it is going to be slightly cheesy....but it was still really good. The music was really good and it was pretty action packed......and on top of that, it is always nice to look at Sam Worthington for a couple hours ;D I would recommend this movie to anyone, but I just love to watch movies so if your a picky movie person ..........well i dont know what to tell ya! But I really did like it and it was a fun show to watch!!!!!! Well as for now, I am going to go watch some project runway.......TOOTLES!
